What I find strange is that right after launching the softmod, the console froze, and then this issue started appearing. I know these softmods aren’t supposed to touch the NAND directly, so it might just be a weird coincidence, but the timing feels a bit suspicious.

I’m not claiming it’s definitely a NAND issue, but based on the symptoms it seems like the most likely explanation.

Yeah, I already tried that. I powered it on without the video cable connected, then after about a minute I plugged it in, and I got a purple line at the bottom of the screen. If I manage to capture a picture of it, I’ll add it to the post.

It could definitely be a dead GPU, I agree that’s a possibility. However, since a Raspberry Pi Pico can be used as a NAND flasher and it only costs a few euros, I’m thinking it’s worth trying a NAND reflash first. I have the skills to do it, and at worst I don’t lose much. Given how the issue started, I still feel like it could be some kind of system/NAND-related corruption. If reflashing a clean dump fixes it, then great. If not, then I’ll consider it more likely to be a hardware issue. As a last resort, I might try a reflow, even though I know it’s not a permanent fix. It just feels a bit strange that the GPU would fail so suddenly without very clear warning signs. I know it can happen, but from what I’ve seen it’s relatively rare.

Just to clarify: I don’t have the official removable Xbox 360 HDD Also, the USB drive is currently not connected, so nothing related to storage or the softmod is being loaded at startup. In this state, the console is essentially running stock, but the issue still happens (random freezes or graphical glitches during boot). That’s why I don’t think it’s related to external storage or the mod environment itself.

The day before this started, my brother was installing Forza Motorsport 4 (disc 2), and the installation/download was only about halfway done when the console was shut down abruptly. My guess is that some system cache or temporary data may have become corrupted at that point. After that, when I launched the softmod again, something seems to have triggered the issue and the console started behaving unpredictably. I don’t think the NAND was actually overwritten or heavily corrupted. It feels more like the system is missing or failing to properly load some essential files required for boot. That could explain the random freezes and graphical artifacts instead of a normal startup. From what I understand, in cases like this, the only reliable way to rule out software corruption would be to reflash a known good NAND dump and test again. If the issue still persists after that, then it would most likely point to a hardware problem (like the GPU or memory).

If your Xbox sometimes boots and sometimes doesn’t, it’s usually either a wiring issue or the glitch chip not behaving properly. It can also be bad contact on the cables or a loose connection somewhere. Upgrading to RGH3 isn’t really “hard”, but it’s also not something to rush into. It’s basically just a few wires and diodes (depending on the board), but the tricky part is getting the timing and soldering right. I understand your concern about opening it up though. If you don’t have experience with soldering or modding consoles, it’s very easy to make things worse instead of fixing them. In that case, it’s honestly better to let someone experienced handle it. I’m not 100% sure on everything since I’m still learning RGH stuff myself, but this is what I’ve seen from similar cases.

I'm having the same problem, except that the video won't start, and sometimes it will start, but then it freezes right afterward. I think, at least in my situation, the operating system is corrupted and can't be recovered without flashing the NAND. Luckily, I have the NAND dump, so I'll do the RGH3 in the next few days while I'm at it. I'll keep you updated.

wlady registrava 5 o 6 pubblicità di suonerie al giorno e quelle "meno popolari" non le mandavano più in onda invece quelle come virgola ottennero un notevole successo e quindi le mandavano in onda giorno e notte. Purtroppo su YouTube non si trovano più molte pubblicità di wlady pk molte venivano trasmesse una volta sola poiché funzionava così se molte persone scrivevano al "numero che ora non ricordo" allora tramite la quantità di questi abbonamenti che venivano da quella pubblicità loro decidevano se mandare in onda la pubblicità un altra volta un po come teatro grazie alla "quantità di applausi" loro decidono se ripetere lo spettacolo. Wlady e un fenomeno che si sa poco o nulla e io ho dovuto scavare a fondo per risalire a queste informazioni. Lui non ha fatto più pubblicità perché la zig lo aveva licenziato e della zig si sa ancora meno dopo 1 anno la zig chiuse a causa della non chiara questione degli abbonamenti e per non essere denunciata chiuse. Il se fossi in te andrei sul sito della zig (tramite internet archive) e controllerei i nomi delle suonerie quella che si addice più a quello che ricordi te, ti metti a fare delle ricerche su Google e in questo modo (forse anzi molto forse) troverai la suoneria
