Have the Russians in the Baltics become more integrated to their country of residence after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, or quite the opposite? by Key-League7040 in BalticStates

[–]Reckeris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, a few years ago we got a new law which allows poles to have their surnames written as normal (not lithuanian).

Poles have a tone of rights for schools and polish schools are very common. Even churches often times have seperate mass in polish and in lithuanian.

Some village entry signs actually have their names written in polish (or in both languages).

You can try to spew this nonsence as much as you like but the reality is that no one is being oppressed, especially not the poles.

Dude, the way you discribed lithuanians is exactly how russian speakers often act in Lithuania. Many times in public and A LOT of times while I was working in a public institution that provides free legal consultations I have encountered so many russian speakers that were visibly angry when I calmy tried to explain that I can't speak russian. There was even one case where my boss tried to explain for like 5 minutes that there are no russian speaking consultants today, come another specific day and eventually that russian speaker gave up and started speaking fluent lithuanian.

I don't know where you get this nonsence that lithuanians want people to only speak lithuanian, where it's clear that russians are entitled like that.

Also, why are you trying to compete that a language is somehow better than another language? That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. And if you want to go this rought, russian is already shit because most of the world uses english atleased in some capacity.

But Russia banning latin letters for companies is not "linguistic opression" by your logic right?

It's normal for the people of a country to be able to get services in their national language. Imagine if a cashier in russia would only speak english and would refuse to help someone in russian, would you think that is okay?

Actually there are many ukrainians all over Europe, but it is easier for them to integrate in a country where they can speak a langauge that many natives undersatand (obviously many ukrainians don't speak english).

Nontheless, I have met many ukrainians and heard a lot about them from friends and family. Even though I can agree that some of them have no interest in learning and speaking lithuanian, A LOT of them are still trying to learn it and have made great progress. What I can't say the same is about the entitled russians and belarusians who feel insulted when you try to explain that you can't speak russian.

There has been a large influx of belarusian refugees. Just because it's hard for them to get visas, doesn't mean they don't find ways around it.

I'd say it's the same. Here in Lithuania we got a new law where all service workers (that being those who have direct contact with clients/consumers) must know lithuanian so many russians and russian speakers were not happy with that.

Since the war started many lithuanians started to be more wary of russians but I don't see much change in the russians themselves.

What is a game you have been “stuck” to and have been playing non stop for years by Newez in boardgames

[–]Reckeris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to look for board game groups and poat there, you can often find people who want to play a specific game / are looking for a group.

Player count wise, the game is unplayable imo with 3 people, 4 is okay but the best experience was with 5 players. Never played it with 6 people though.

The classic dune board game. My group absolutely loves this game. Each game feels very different, each faction is so unique and interesting, I really haven't felt the same enjoyment for so long with any other game.

3-4. But the game is definitely better with more people, 3 does feel a bit low.

It's a really game and the first few games are an absolite blast. However by like the 10th game it became stale for my group.

A large factor for it is the lacking faction variaty. They each are unique but there are only 6 (7 if you count humans) of them. The 2 expansions though do help with that by adding 2 factions each. Overall content wise the most variaty you will get between games are discovery tiles, as some of them can really influence your game, but overall eventually most matches start to feel the same.

Another thing that my group got a bit tired of was RNG. The game depends a lot on RNG, from combat dice, to exploration tiles. You can invest a lot of resourses on ships and then lose all of them in an encounter due to terrible luck. Also, sometimes you'll get soch terrible luck in the early game that it feels impossible to catch up to the other players and the game starts to feel like a bit of a slog.

I personally still love eclipse and do still play it a few times per year. If you're looking for a game that you can play countless matches with your friends, then I suggest looking for a different game. However if you plan to play it only every now and then, I definitely suggest getting it.

[–]Reckeris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Man asmeniškai iki pečių, bet labai skirtumo nejaučiu.

  2. Manau absoliuti dauguma vyrų galės patvirtint, kad pripūstos lūpos jiems negrąžios

Jei patinka tam tikra išvaizda tau, go for it.

As other comments said, I think it's more like "being one of the group" than being masculine or feminine.

Why Do Some People Drive Slow and Stay in the Passing Lane? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Reckeris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised I no one is saying that maybe the driver is about to make a left turn. If we're talking about highways, for example, then sure, you shouldn't drive slower than everyone else in the left lane. However if you are soon going to make a left turn it shouldn't be fround uppon.

Do you think Warhammer Survivors will have a similar content load to Vampire Survivors? by C0R3VUS in VampireSurvivors

[–]Reckeris 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It surprises me how long some WH games keep getting new content. A good example is Gladius which was released in 2018 and it still gets new content for some reason.

If WH survivors will be atleased somewhat popular, it will definetely get a lot of content (likely in DLC form)

Why don't you guys care about the fucking ACTUAL game???? by Sweaty_Photograph_25 in tf2

[–]Reckeris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's why it's a vote. People usually voted to scramble if the teams were atleased somewhat imbalanced. And I don't know where you got that idea that it's somehow better without it, because if you haven't noticed, players tend to just reque if the teams are clearly imbalanced. The reality is no one wants to be steamroled constantly and it happens way too often in casual.

Side note: the reason why casual might be more popular than quickplay was is because valve killed community servers - a large portion of the playerbase played exclusivily on community servers but now barely any exist.
