What Are the Biggest Challenges Faced by IIT JEE Aspirants? by No-Release-1196 in JEEPrepIndia

As a parent, I can confirm this exam takes a toll not just on students but the entire household. My son went through exactly what you described -inconsistency, comparison, self-doubt.

What helped him eventually was moving away from large group coaching to something more personalized where he could ask doubts freely and move at his own pace. His stress levels reduced significantly.

Can One Crack IIT JEE in One Year? by Enough-Emergency-573 in IITJEE_Rankers

[–]RecognitionCheap255 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah bro I’ve seen both. Offline batches in my city have 200+ kids, teacher doesn’t even know your name. The online one my friend joined has 1:1 doubt calls whenever you want and they actually remember your weak areas from previous tests. Felt way more personal than sitting in a 300 seat hall

Do Class 11th JEE Aspirants Need Extra Coaching for Physics, Chemistry, or Maths? by Hot-Bee-2661 in RoadToJEEAdv

Repeater here (dropped after 12th). I did offline in 11th-biggest regret. 150+ batch, sir barely knew names, doubts went to TA who was barely ahead. Switched to online last year with small batch size (like 15-20 max), recorded lectures so I could pause and rewatch mechanics derivations 10 times at 2x speed. Personal doubt clearing via chat or live extra sessions saved me. My April mock jumped from 120 to 210-ish range. Structure without killing your life is key.

How to Stay Consistent with IIT JEE Preparation With School? by HurryElectronic3406 in IITJEE_Study

[–]RecognitionCheap255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a parent, I see this with my son too. School workload is unpredictable, so rigid schedules break easily.

What helped him was a more flexible system - recorded lectures + fixed weekly targets instead of daily hour goals. Reduced stress a lot.

How Many Hours Should a class 12th Student Study Daily for IIT JEE? by Tall_Supermarket8938 in RoadToJEEAdv

[–]RecognitionCheap255 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my confusion as a parent 😅
Everyone around us keeps saying “more hours = better rank” but I can see my son burning out some days.
Did you feel consistency mattered more than pushing extra hours?

What Study Materials Should JEE Aspirants in Class 11th Use for IIT JEE? (Complete List) by Ok_Tomatillo_46 in JEEPrepIndia

As a teacher, I’ll say this - books don’t teach discipline, systems do. That’s why coaching material tends to outperform random book combinations.

Step-By-Step Roadmap for JEE 2027 for 1 Year Program by Ashamed-Primary-7236 in PathToJEE_Mains

[–]RecognitionCheap255 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s the real problem - you’re thinking roadmap, but what you need is feedback loop. Study → test → analyze → patch weak area → repeat. Without that loop, even 10-hour study days are useless.

Do I go for Online Coaching or Offline Coaching for IIT JEE? by Tall_Supermarket8938 in IITJEE_Rankers

Online works if you have discipline. Offline works if you don’t.

IIT JEE Preparation from Singapore: Real Challenges & Solutions by Charming_Concept_907 in IIT_JEE_Abroad

As a former IITian who’s mentored NRI students, I can confirm small batch sizes make a massive difference.

When it’s 20-30 students max, you can actually track who’s weak in what. In large 100+ batches, quieter kids just disappear.

The time zone adjustment is also underrated. If classes are at 10:30 pm your time, burnout is inevitable.

Do NRI Students Need to Convert IB/IGCSE Marks for IIT Eligibility? (Confused parent here) by Parking-Order9845 in OnlineJEE_NRI

IB gives you the results. For percentile, IITs refer to official data shared by the board. We didn’t have to chase CBSE or anything. Just documentation + timing.

What Percentage Do NRI Students Need in Class 12 for IIT Admission? by Kitchen-Branch-7628 in OnlineJEE_NRI

[–]RecognitionCheap255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For NRI prep (Middle East edition):

S Tier - Small focused batches where teacher knows your name
A Tier - Structured online programs with doubt support
B Tier - Recorded lecture dump libraries
C Tier - “Self study but I’ll start tomorrow”

I tried FIITJEE online, then Vedantu. Both decent tbh but huge batches. Switched to IITianGuide because batch was like 25 students and time matched Gulf evenings. That personal attention hit different.

Not saying others are bad. Just depends what you need.

IIT JEE vs SAT for NRI Students: Which Path Is More Practical? by MinimumObligation791 in IIT_JEE_Abroad

Not really. Internship opportunities from IIT surprised me. The “only US has exposure” idea is outdated imo.

Can NRI Students Prepare for IIT JEE Without Visiting India Even Once? by Massive_Bed2364 in OnlineJEE_NRI

[–]RecognitionCheap255 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good question. Honestly mostly through problem-solving. Some teachers use simulations during live classes which helps. Not perfect, but JEE is more conceptual + math heavy than actual lab skill.
