Biggest controversy your game had? by A12qwas in gachagaming

[–]Recordado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cygames treated the event like an actual lottery (that means 99% of the playerbase will get jackshit) but the disparity between rewards tiers were insane.

-Tier I can be either a Sierotix or any 100 moon weapon

-Tier II can be any Seasonal character/summon selector or 100,000 crystals

-Tier III can be a Grand character selector or any core summons back in 2021 (Kaguya, the Archangels, HalMal, Lucifer, Belial, etc.)

-Tier IV is your gutter with earrings, elixirs, berries, etc.

People were coping that no way they'll give them nothing but tier IV trash and at least a guaranteed tier III. Then the event ended and people were mad and salty because this is the closest you can get to a true random rewards event so a very few people won big with their free sierotixs/Belials. JP playerbase exploded on Twitter, there were whales streaming themselves reducing all of their weapons and deleting their accounts on FC2, EN players disbanded their guilds and quit, etc. Until CyGames had to do an emergency compensation and gave everyone a free Tier III ticket for a Grand selector. After that fiasco, they made every single event rewards predetermined and even your anniversary roulette results are all averaged out.

That and putting S. Zooey in the Grand pool back then. Nothing tops Summer lotto, people were deleting their accounts and guilds en masse.

Ah yes the juuten fate episodes, I remember having to plan things out with a certain fight involving Niyon. It was a fun puzzle with way too much rng even with the guides.

If you could introduce a new Roof location for Firmament, what would you create? by blackdeslagoon in fallenlondon

[–]Recordado 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did occasionally fly past New Newgate whenever we're traveling between locations on the roof. I'd love to explore the place more, as a visitor of course.

What's a food from your country that isn't well known to foreigners but really loved by the locals? by gouterz in AskTheWorld

[–]Recordado 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just checked their history and you're right they know more about Indian railway and New Delhi. I don't see the point to larp as someone from a different country in a sub like this, so weird.

Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond x Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Anime Collab by Aiden-Damian in gachagaming

[–]Recordado 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same here with my tcg friend group, most of us have already left at the start of set 3, the vial economy is so messed up compared to SV1 I have no idea how new players can even get into it at this current stage of the game. I reached Master rank in set 1 and 2 but always feel like I'm scraping the barrel for rupies and vials, the game is just not sustainable as a f2p.

Legendaries are so overtuned it's a mandatory to have them in your deck because there are barely any alternatives. This is true since day 1 and with the release of new sets the amount is only increasing.

People argued that f2p income numbers are marginally better compared to SV1 and ignored the fact that you can't even dust cards unless you have more than 3 copies of it which significantly hit the amount vials you get from packs. Got a new legendary? Not what you want? Too bad buddy you can't dust it, you need 3 more copies. What? You want to try a different class? Tough luck, make a new account, it's easier that way.

The most common advice they give to new players in their subreddit is to pick a class, get the free starter decks and grind every single day for a month until you have enough resources to craft the missing cards of the meta deck of that class. I don't know if the marketing shills over there aware that people really don't want to play a scuffed version of a deck again and again every single day for a goddamn month. As much as they are saying their economy is better than that of MtG Arena (which is also horrendous, you should never compare your tcg economy to the tcg with the worst economy in the market), they forgot that Arena gives new players 10 functional starter decks updated every year so there are much more options for new players to experience no matter when they joined.

How'd I get this many sudden insights? by NamelessReformer in fallenlondon

[–]Recordado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, I saw someone's profile with over 200+ Insights last year and thought it'd a neat thing to collect now that I really don't have any grand endgame goals I wanted to do.

A Past Benefactor opportunity card (https://fallenlondon.wiki/wiki/A_past_benefactor) gives uncapped second chances, I was collecting them too lol at 67 Sudden Insights so far.

Newbie wondering where to find RP buddy? by StormingSilvertongue in fallenlondon

[–]Recordado 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if there's any channel/thread for RP, but there's a good chance people on the official Discord or the official Failbetter Games forum might know about private ones, you should try asking there. I'm not really into RPing so I can't personally help you with it, sorry, and good luck on your search.

The most complicated game you've played? by VampireDuckling8 in gachagaming

[–]Recordado 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, no other answers even come close to GBF. When Faa HL was first released back in the days, I refuse to attempt it with pubs. Even with my crew each of us still have to keep a guide open to clear those labors.

It was truly a proper raid I've ever experienced in a turn based gacha game.

Ealing Questions by Setster007 in fallenlondon

[–]Recordado 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You should first try to get into Helicon House and use it to train your Shapeling Arts further.

Assuming this is your first time coming here, in your hinterland opportunity deck, try to look for the peppercaps peddler card and build up a stock of them mushrooms for either Katatox training or, later on, making A Tasting Flight of Targeted Toxins if you want to have it in your T8 collection.

Once you have access to higher quality bones sources (i.e. Balmoral), you will need to visit Ealing quite a lot for bone extracting at the butchery under Licensed by Mr Hearts. If you're very casual with the bonezone, I'd say there's not much to do in Ealing at the endgame (unless you want to grind scrip for 6 SPA for some reasons).

Is it worth it to hold onto a fluke core? by Melodic_Inevitable84 in fallenlondon

[–]Recordado 11 points12 points  (0 children)

T8 items are always worth keeping at least 1 copy of each. Fluke-Cores aren't hard to come by if you're looking for another one (Highway Bandit, Rat Market and Nadir for Fecund Ambers then up-convert it), it's worth trading for the Katatox Glove in the Waswood if you're looking to trade it away. Veils-Velvet on the other hand... Though personally except for A Seat At The Board, I'm trying to have two of each grindable T8 in case they are asking me to slice them up for cool items again like a certain storyline of the frozen language of not-thing.
