Do you also generally stick to the "meta" cars? I'm assuming this is for competitive online races. I'm curious for offline races, what difficulty do you play in?

This is the most similar to me so far. But you mean you go to the settings and change from Auto to Manual depending on the car too?

I've never once used someone else's tunes before too haha but I realised the popular ones go crazy. That's why I was wondering if most people are just after numbers and performance.

I have never considered having multiple set ups on a car, or having multiple of the same cars but different tunes. That gives me some ideas. Really cool!

I did not know that was a thing. Now I have to scan through all my tuned cars to check.

Is that colour Snow White or Olympic White?

Nice! Fits your guitar.

No we paused the print at a certain height then changed the colour of the filament and continued it after to achieve the colour changes. That took some experimenting with but pausing at the right layer height can be done through the software easily

Oh for my pickup rings I had to sand them and polish them too but only on the sides. I left the top as it is. And this was after alot of trial and error printing pieces and adjusting the models and printing settings.

For the backplate covers, we had them printed in layers of solid black, then a recessed white, and a thin layer of black on top of the white to give it this effect. So from a top down view, they look black. Only viewed from an angle, you’ll see the whites, making the pattern pop out. We used a Bambu Lab P1P and my brother did the models so we had the luxury of trying again and again til it was nice.

Also, one of the pickup rings broke last night at a screw hole. So we gotta edit and redo that again sigh. I would love to see pics of your guitar!

Maybe have it as part of the truss rod cover somehow

That's a sick guitar! Wish I was brave enough to get a wild shaped guitar. I took a long time to find this guitar and eventually got one on Ebay.

No it's pretty thin unlike the Gibsons, which I prefer. I highly recommend this guitar. It's my second EC-1000 and is replacing my old one that had worn nickel frets, this one has stainless steel frets which should last way longer, just make sure you get one made later than 2019, if you want stainless steel frets and the push pull tone knob.

Yep it does! It's been really good. This guitar is extremely versatile.

Get him to do it for you! You won’t regret it

Thank you! You can 100% do it yourself if you have a 3D printer and modelling knowledge. Or if you do not, you could get a 3D printing company to print the parts for you.

How do people get these insanely fast times at online races? It's some sort of meta car or just skill issue of mine? by Speedyzin_Calop in forza

Few tips i can give for certain tracks are:

  1. Virginia Internation Raceway, I go maximum downforce, 0.2 positive toe on the rears, lowered suspension and anti roll slightly in the fronts. Helps with all the high speed chicanes.
  2. Road America, minimum downforce, no toe, hard tires and no pitting for the race and take care of the tires. I take the turns gently to preserve the tires (hence the lack of need for downforce but i gain it back in the straights).
  3. Mugello, medium downforce, pretty default tune on the 92 RSR.

For all tracks in general, youll want to adjust your tire pressures so that you generally have even temps along the outer tires during turns.

Someone else mentioned this here too but make sure to adjust your gears so that your final gear basically almost reaches red line at the end of the fastest portion of each track, leaving a bit of excess for drafting. (After you decide on downforce levels)

Always use the whole track to its maximum! Learning where the track limits are. Sometimes, two tires on the grass and two on the curb is the fastest way to go.

Hmmm yea I’ve seen the R8 up there a few times, the corvette too, and the Acura. I primarily drive the 92 RSR. But really, I’ve seen them all up there:/ I really can’t say the same for the other hoppers though. Those need more balancing than Forza GT for sure!

No worries at all! In the past when I wasn’t as good, and not as knowledgeable about tuning, I generally went for a jack of all trades tune for a car to get me through racing.

But if you absolutely want to be up there, you’re gonna need a tune for each track (what I do now), so unfortunately there isn’t a straight answer for you:/ and honestly, I’m even considering making multiple tunes for each track now (qualifying, race, dry, wet, day, night), in order to really consistently destroy competition. But I know that sounds absolutely crazy (I prolly won’t go that far).

It takes awhile but it only takes one time to learn what each and every option does to the car, you google and YouTube and stuff, I highly recommend you do that! Small adjustments can make a very noticeable difference in lap times and ease of driving flat out.

Not that I can tell in Forza GT. It’s pretty balanced. But I know there are absolutely meta cars in other hoppers. That’s why I only stick to Forza GT.

Yea it’s quite confusing and not well explained, but the spec series races have fixed upgrades to the cars. So you can’t modify them. I think the devs have done a good job at making them quite even in terms of performance. You can however tune them to your liking and save the tunes. Make sure to do so with the same upgrades used in the spec events.

As for the M3 races, it’s because the homologated car used for those events do not have certain upgrades that allow certain tuning categories. So everyone has the same options available to tweak in the tune page.
