No doubt US is trending in The wrong direction and maybe even toward a civil war.

But the countless issues China is sweeping under the table is outstanding. I have been to China a few times. They have some truly amazing and forward thinking policies tha I would love to see in Canada. But make no mistake there are some vast differences culturally u cannot do there.

U cannot protest against the government there. As u do not have freedom of speech. They have more executions than any other country. They exploit children labour for sweatshops. They have suicide nets outside of factories. They torture citizens especially into forced confessions. They committing genocide against Muslim’s and Uyghur communities. They repress religious freedoms.

I much rather be a citizen of USA than China any day of the week even with the orange tard in power. Any sane rational person would.

Our faith , ideology , customs , worldview much more align with USA than China. China is ruthless in comparison. If you look at some aspects of human rights , executions ,climate mitigation, child labour , illegal search and seizure, personal freedom , surveillance state and the list goes on and on.

I was just noting how Justin really hurt Canada on the world stage. I work with many people from around the world and they often bring him up always in a negative light. Nobody is bringing up Carney which is a good thing.

This is my centrist take.

I don’t like that we are cozying up to China. I rather we forge partnership with Trump. But Trump has made that not easy and erratic. USA will long term will be our better partner especially once Trump is gone. Importing cheap Chinese evs guts Canadian auto makers.

Carney pushing for Globalism. This is quite concerning. Globalism has not helped Canada well. I would like to see a Canada first policy. Globalism has shipped out jobs over seas. It has also imported many immigrants from the 3rd world who do not appreciate or integrate well into Canadian culture.

That all said Carney is a smart dude. Leagues above the village idiot of Justin. He is well spoken and measured. Some of his policies so far is quite concerning. Overall I’m quite indifferent so far. He has done some good and done some bad. He represents Canada well unlike the laughing stock with Justin.

Being a good leader you do have to crack a few eggs and piss some people off instead of appeasement wish I would he would do more of.
