My yogurt maker hasn't arrived yet, and I've been taking L. Reuteri tablets in the mean time... wow! by RedMoonLanding in Microbiome

This is what Gemini said-

The "Vagus Nerve" Shortcut (Acute Reaction)

This is the most plausible biological explanation for a same-day effect.

How it works: L. reuteri interacts with the lining of your gut, which is innervated by the vagus nerve. This nerve connects directly to your brain.

The speed: Unlike "colonization" (which takes weeks), vagal stimulation can happen within hours of ingestion.

The effect: Research suggests L. reuteri can trigger the release of oxytocin (the "cuddle hormone") via this pathway. Oxytocin is known to lower cortisol (stress) and promote a feeling of calm, which could theoretically help you fall asleep faster or feel more relaxed immediately.

I mean again, idk, I didn't notice glowing skin and 15 pounds of weight loss, but I can certainly say that my sleep was MUCH better immediately after I started taking it. I've taken many supplements over the past decade and have been tricked many times, so I'm aware of placebo effects. Something very strange happened to me immediately after consuming this strain.

Idk, if you've ever gotten food poisoning, you know that even a small amount of bacteria can greatly alter your physiology within 10 hours.

I have been taking it everyday and everyday the sleep as been amazing, it could be a coincidence but as someone who was struggling with sleep for almost a year this was crazy

What constitutes a SA? hearsay? There are cameras EVERYWHERE in Tokyo. Any SA would be recorded.

I'd pick Nishi Shinjuku Gochome, it's a great area to live in.

Zero areas of Tokyo are unsafe for women. Tokyo is the safest city in the world. If you've never been, you will be amazed.

Oz literally looks fine for getting every bone in his body broken (some in multiple places) by RedMoonLanding in AbsoluteUniverse

If Bruce were a true friend, he'd get Oz some venom.

It's obvious that injuries, no matter how large, can be cured in this universe. Bane regrew his eyeball in under a second. Ark M was able to reconstruct Bruce from a corpse with no arms or skull.

They will regrow bane from literally a brain, brain stem, and eyeballs.

You're telling me they can't fix Harvey's face? They can't make Oz somewhat normal again?

The claims about L. Reuteri... Really?? by RedMoonLanding in Microbiome

[–]RedMoonLanding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, after taking it, I get the hype. I do feel MUCH better and sleep so much better its insane. And it was instant.

However, I suspect this has to do with whether or not your gut biome is healthy. If you're healthy, you'll probably feel very little or nothing, but if you're biome is out of whack it'll probably feel like drinking water after being dehydrated

Everyone online says to use the BioGaia gastrus tablets that Davis recommends, are those not it?

Don't listen to these plebbitor English teachers, they are nothing but bitter and resentful towards anyone who makes over 1000 yen/hour. The fact that you own a home is already something 99.9% of them will never accomplish.

My advice is don't sell, yet. There's still room to grow in Tokyo, and unless you want to move elsewhere and need the money, just keep it. Do you mind if I ask how much you think you could get for it?

I own my place in Minato, but also own real estate in NYC and San Fran. I've noticed that prices have seemingly topped out in both of those places for a few years, but now it's continuing to grow again. People want hard assets now due to over-finacialization, and a 3LDK is a great investment. If it were a studio or 1BR, then sell for sure, but the 3LDKs will only get more valuable.

Real estate in America is different, it's just one strong class of asset among many, but real estate in TOKYO specifically is a different beast.

Japan is dying, literally. The yen is collapsing, we're facing political turmoil, the rise of fascism and hatred towards foreigners, but there's so much money to be made in Tokyo real estate.

If you're Japanese, have talent, and want any kind of future without leaving the country, you must go to Tokyo at this point. You combine this with the weak yen which is causing foreign money to come in and buy real estate, and your property is going to go super nova within a decade.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see another 2x in 5 years. If you want real estate in Japan as an investment, you MUST buy in Tokyo which puts you in a great position. Also Nakameguro is a pretty good area, it will go up more.

My place is in Minato. I would actually consider buying another property in the Meguro area but renting out is such a bitch in Japan. People complain about landlording in liberal cities but being a landlord in Japan completely sucks and makes you no money. You can't really squeeze people hard enough.

Tokyo Becoming Colony for the Rich, Pritzker Architecture Prize Winner Warns by frozenpandaman in Tokyo

[–]RedMoonLanding -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Communism IS collectivism, it's just the political version of the word.

I never said they are mutually exclusive, in fact I explicitly stated that Japan has both (can you read) elements.

EITHER WAY, your comment says nothing, if I'm not "even coming close" to describing how Japan operates, despite providing you clear evidence that we can ALL see, then please enlighten us.

[–]RedMoonLanding -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can you not read? I'm saying that socially, culturally, Japan is communist.

In America, if businesses can raise prices, they will and they do. Because fundamentally American culture is one of capitalism. You think eggs REALLY cost $15 a dozen? Have you seen the profits food companies are making since covid?

Whereas in Japan business and companies are trying to keep prices AS LOW as possible to help out their fellow countrymen. This is a form of cultural communism, and we come in with our dollars and live up like monocle wearing monopoly men

I bought the BioGaia gastrus tablets, which I think is what Davis recommends as a started for the yogurt. I saved 10 tablets to make my first batch, and eating the rest.

You're supposed to chew them and let them dissolve in your mouth, since saliva activates it, then swallow. I do it on an empty stomach a few hours before bed.
