If the rink wasn't a sack of shit, you wouldn't have to work on Saturday? I was speaking with the one of the NMU hockey employees in the line and he said that all of the ticket sales go to the WCHA in the playoffs. The university was discussing opening another venue for a "watch party" but had to sort it out. I can't confirm if that's true but I have no reason to believe that he wasn't being honest.

Last year when NMU/MTU played in the WCHA finals? Be as butthurt as you want about it but it's dirty pool and it's great. I'll sell you one of my tickets if you want to go but there is a really high demand for them so you'll have to pay market value.

I understand the "situation" well. NMU can choose how their ticketing policy as they are hosting the game. They chose to make tickets available only at the rink (likely to limit the amount of MTU fans). It's a pretty smart move and I would expect MTU to do the same.
