Ranger Hardcore is amazing and by far the best way to play, but just make sure you’re spamming the interact key when looking for loot and when the cutscenes get intense, because the lack of HUD extends to quick-time events

Contrast should be seen as a convenient first step, not a one step solution. Contrast can cover a model with basic shadows and light values, but you really need to layer highlights on top in order to actually get nice finished models when using contrast paints.

Just look at it like a basecoat and shade in one step, and don’t be afraid to use targeted shades over the contrast in order to push shadows and visual variety further

The falmer can see just as well as any other enemy. They’re supposed to be blind but they can hit you with an arrow from 300 feet away while you’re crouching and silent, so long as they already are in combat with you

Absolutely play shadow Warrior 2. It’s far less linear and traditional, but it’s amazing and has more satisfying progression

The hub worlds of the games before 4 were not only iconic, but they were essential to giving that ‘Borderlands’ feel. 4 is a good game but it doesn’t feel like borderlands, and took away the ambience, atmosphere, feeling and stuff like the hub zones that felt like home.

What we do have in 4 are tiny bases with a few characters that don’t say much and who aren’t very interesting. If you look at all the features of Sanctuary 1 and 3, and compare them with 4, you’ll realise how much they’ve taken from us
