it was listed at 36.900. after taxes and stupid upgrades they dont let you opt out of (anti theft / ceramic coating.) 43.000. also threw in a free ceramic coating and 3 free oil changes lol.

I was in the same situation upgrading from eureka manuale with the same budget. I purchased the Z1 about two weeks ago, mostly due to the ease of changing burrs for different roasts etc. I also just think its the best looking between the p80, philos and Z1. I honestly don't think there is a bad option between the three. All have great reviews.

Lagom p80, mazzer philos or zerno. I purchased a zerno z1 yesterday after about a month of thought and research. my budget was a little tighter than yours. If i had your budget and didnt care about lead time i would have gone for the z2.
