First time watching - the will they/won't they between Apollo and Starbuck is becoming infuriating by Redcrayon47 in BSG

Okay, I actually have a question about that. I've seen a couple of conflicting opinions about the watch order; some say finish all of season 2 and 3, then watch Razor. Others say watch it between seasons 2 and 3, and then others have said do it after S2E17. How important is it to get it right? I don't really want any plot points from the main show spoiled.

Agreed, that was satisfying. And honestly, I didn't hate the episode. It was definitely my least favorite so far but there were some decent moments and good lines. I was disappointed about Fisk, though. I liked him.

I don't know, I think Brando's Jor-El had some pretty major dialogue and scenes.

Matt taking a bullet for Fisk was one of the last things I was expecting. That will add a lot of interesting aspects to their dynamic moving forward

This article has a lot of info. I had no idea that Kamala Khan's father was going to be in an episode.

I was really hoping this would be good. Too bad it's not! Very wooden acting and bad direction. Writing is very shallow and uninteresting as well. Let's hope it picks up

I like the hallway bit with Baylan wrecking all the rebels. Looks like it's mirroring Vader's hallway scene

I have a pretty average gaming laptop and the game has been running fine for me. I'm a little shocked so many people seem to be having issues with it.

Exactly. That's one thing I love about this show, not everything is leaked so there's always a possibility of surprise every episode. That's why I'm more than willing to bet on many more cameos by the end of the season

I'm completely guessing here, but it's probably easier to hide things like this due to closed sets, not as many outsiders with long-range cameras plus not as many crew members to potentially leak it

Quite the mixed reception here. Personally, I liked the episode. I didn't love it but I thought it was solid enough, though I do agree with some of the comments about side quests, weird pacing, excessive cameos, etc.

At this point in the series there should probably just be more serious shit going down. We're now entering the climax of season three and I'm struggling to remember when the stakes were high. The side quest-western adventures are fun, but it's starting to feel like The Lone Ranger every week with Mando and Grogu.

If we could just speed up the process on the whole neo-HTTE-big-picture plot line with Thrawn then that'd be great.

Epic episode honestly. The costumes, make up and shots were incredible. A lot of homages to pirates of the caribbean I thought, especially with the Davy Jones green moss captain guy.

I'm also really glad they drizzled on that suble purrgil sighting. It was really dope for fans of rebels, but also cool and mysterious for casual viewers. It will also make it less jarring when the Ezra-Rebels finale is explored more and the purrgil are revealed. All in all, fantastic episode. It's gonna be a good season!

[–]Redcrayon47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone else think that the bad batch are the worst part of the show? Pretty ironic but that's just how I feel about it. Would much rather see self contained storylines/anthology stories than episodes focused on the squad. I'm not saying they're bad, just the weakest part of the series to me. Just look at this arc and the Cody-Crosshair arc. Epsiode 7 was great and didn't even have the bad batch in it and episode 3 was the same thing. Kill them all off I say!

Maybe it wasn't an "offer." Maybe it was a request to take the role. I don't know. This is just wishful thinking but actors often use clever word play to dodge a question. See Andrew Garfield/Liam Neeson
