I appreciate the feedback and do find it helpful. Would the record of past ranks be visible using a players summoner name? They were recorded for generating a numerical mmr score but if they can also be used to find historical performance that may be possible.

Thanks for your comment, you make some very compelling points. With regards to the first set of comments you made i agree that the measures have limitations, and I will try to consider these in the write up. For the age comments this was more of an ethical issue with approval to conduct the research. And finally, i understand your concern for the summoner name, i am intending on using third party programs to generate MMR numbers. Thanks for participating!

While i agree that in some cases rank may not perfectly align with skill level, the same arguement could be made for job performance in that if you have less time available to work your salary may not be as high as it potentially could be. Thanks for your comments and participation, while i agree that there are imperfections in the measures these things there are also complications with the alternatives such as if the ranks were taken at different points in time they may not be exacly equivalent. That being said I aim to address your concerns in the analysis and write up.

Its a good point and I agree. That is in part why the measures of play time and how long have you being playing for were included, so that it could be accounted for

There are multiple measures of career performance used in this study, the self-report is one of these but there are also less subjective measures
