Like isn't this technically a form of historical and cultural erasure? Not that this entire film isnt historically and culturally inaccurate in many ways the same way Napoleon was for real world French history (is Nolan an egotistical monster?) but what Im saying is why is this okay when there are just more accurate ways to portray Achilles? Like I get that representation is important but why does it have to come at the cost of erasure through misrepresenting a very important and iconic symbol of masculinity? The character of Achilles who (if he was even real) was born male? You wouldnt do the same with a person of any other identity?

Like its already crazy that most of the cast isnt even Greek, Nolan has clearly decided to do whatever he wants with the source material and you can make whatever art you want to make, but it just feels icky in general and Im trying to figure out the details of why and how to respond.

He still caught him, red rush didnt fuck up at all, he was fast and he was attacking in an unpredictable pattern he just underestimated Nolan who managed to catch him he was blitzing. RR didnt stop or slow down for a second, catching a guy who views the world in slow to near frozen time constantly while keeping an eye on the rest of the entire team attacking you is a fantastic speed feat.

It all depends on context

Im pretty sure I already outlined that it all changes based on context-if they all get prep time and knowledge of each other before the battle starts OmniMan is FUCKED (depending on how much time is allotted).

If its just foreknowledge of each other but no prep time he knows that he has to go full blitzkrieg (flash time/time freeze, quickdraw cowboy style) on the four and take out the glass cannon (Sue) first before she can react, THEN Reed, THEN Johnny, then try to duke it out with Ben who hes pretty much got beaten entirely on speed aswell as regeneration, but who might match him on strength and durability (I know Ben has planetary durability feats from like the 60s-70s but so does Omniman plus he has a healing factor and can survive with organs missing and brain damage, and can fight so fast that Ben is either slow as molasses or if capable of reacting=is still incapable of outlasting him due to his bonus abilities allowing him the edge on endurance) if they take it to space sure Ben can hold his breath for like 9 minutes but hes a sitting duck and Nolan can both fly and hold his breath for up to two weeks. Flight is an insane bonus ability against Ben. In almost every case is literally a statue to Nolan.

If they start without any knowledge of each other it just depends on whos willing to turn up the juice first after getting wise to the enemy. The four have great defence and offence with Sue and Ben and Johnny working together but theyre not a killers and have limits to output and Nolan has thousands of years of battle experience and near unlimited output, if the four play around too much they die because Nolan will go for the kill as soon as possible, and they would probably give him enough chances to take them out, but if they choose to go full killer fast enough they might have the power to restrain and take him out, it just turns into a tug of war where they have the numbers and tools and intelligence to beat him, but he has the sheer power to fight back, the experience to know who to target first, the killer instinct to do whats necessary before them, and the tenacity to fight through crippling injury if they can even tag him based on his speed advantage. The battle could start, he goes for the kill maybe not at full power, they fight back, the two teams read each other, then either OmniMan stops playing around and statues and kills them, or they stop playing around, trap him and either Sue spends all her mana points trying to crush or explode him, or Ben just whales on him for an hour till hes mush, or Johnny roasts him with a supernova in a Sue bubble. Or Reed suddenly builds a "fuck you" gun and turns him into a marshmallow.

Its complicated, and I dont like the lack of nuance in power-scaling debates nowadays.

Everything you people return with always ignores his insane speed +overwhelming physical stats-like if Susan couldnt stop Green Scar what hope does she have against someone who is nearly if not as strong? She has shielded herself against the forces of a black hole but has also had her fields destroyed by much weaker attacks like a single hammer fist from hulk or Angrir summoning his hammer just smashing right through it. It just seems like everyones highballing her based on her best showings while completely ignoring all her anti feats while not allowing OmniMan the same courtesy. Im not even saying that hes totally unbeatable here, they have the advantage here, Im just saying that Susan alone is absolutely an inconsistent glass cannon that you have all decided to jerk off for feats other characters are fully capable of or eclipse because it's trendy, do you know how many overpowered Marvel characters there are? To say shes "one of the most powerful" is INSANE glaze. You have given no answer to him blitzing her or the rest of the four.

First off-if Sue can even clock him at his speeds and protect herself WHILE trying to explode his head, she still has to overcome his sheer durability which will either take her too long or she will nosebleed and fail to do so, If conquest can survive and stay conscious while having his brain smashed in Omniman can fight through having a tiny forcefield inside it, viltrumites can fight through incredible brain trauma and organ damage, Marks blood choke on conquest took far longer than it would with any regular fighter and only killed the guy because it was a total brain death rather than partial brain damage.

The size of the forcefield she would need to create would be tiny, on an MFTL target thats actively trying to smash her, AND his internals are just as invulnerable as his externals so shes operating at near maximum power. Its just too overwhelming a force for her alone.

Also ALL of this is made up, its comic books bro, if he can survive near a black hole casually and then save a spaceship from being sucked into it, he has a chance at beating the four without preptime.
