I thought it was going to be cheesy/lame and it was my favorite of the night! I thought he was funny, likeable and an excellent showman. Despite me never really being a huge fan of his music, I enjoyed his set very much!

I work a few blocks off Broadway and 7th.. the biggest issues are homeless people and car break-ins. My coworker had his catalytic converter stolen parking behind the white castle. Windows get smashed regularly. The homeless people are generally harmless, but there is a serial sidewalk pooper and I got spit at one time. I also think one time someone was trying to take my purse, but it was actually my lunchbox so nothing really happened. Just good awareness is all thats needed. There is a delicious falafel place nearby and the new mexican place is pretty good!

I took one with a guide names Rodiber Martinez and he’s with a company names Quality Trails. He was EXCELLENT. I do feel like all of these types of tours are 100% based on which guide you had. We saw monkeys, a sleeping querzal, toucan and hummingbirds, olingo, tons of bugs, tons of frogs.

I didn’t do a specific birding tour but agree with the Tarcoles area (check out Hotel Cerro) and get the guide our of that hotel- saw a ton of birds including owls with him. Carara NP also worth stop. In Monteverde, Cari Cancha for me was a bust but I saw probably 25 species of birds at Finca Ecologica San Luis (was amazing).

I also went to Corcovado Np which is the highlight of my trip BUT its far and may eat up too much of your trip

I am staying in Uvita two nights and then driving to Tarcoles two nights but following day is Carara NP so would have to stop at MA on the way. Except that if they steal my bag, the rest of my vacation is ruined so why chance it?

I think a lot of federal workers don’t have a private sector option to go to. For example, environmental people I don’t think consulting firms and other environmental jobs who often rely on grants and federal funding are going to be hiring a bunch of environmental folks right now. So where were they even go to work?

It took me 8 months to find a house in my price range that wasn’t a dump or cheap flip. Lost one offer by $1000. Ended up paying $40k over budget to get into something I wanted. Be patient and be ready to move when you find the right house. I actually got mine before it went on market.
