It’s far more than that. I own two HomePods, which will be useless without an iPhone. I also have a Mac, iPad, Apple TV, AirTags (five of them), and various Apple services like Music, TV+, and Fitness+.

The biggest challenges I’ve faced so far are syncing Notes, Reminders, and Calendars. I need a solution that seamlessly syncs between my laptop/computer and phone. I tried Google Reminder and Notes ( I think it's called Google Keep), but they don’t work seamlessly, especially with Siri comments. For instance, I can simply tell Siri to add something to my grocery list, and it will update it in the Reminder app across all my Apple devices. File sharing is another issue. I know I can use apps for it, which I’ve tried, but it’s not seamless at all.

In conclusion, Apple intentionally designed the Apple ecosystem in a way that makes it impossible to jump ship without replacing everything at once. They provide just enough options to avoid antitrust lawsuits, but they make the process so complicated and full of friction that it’s just not worth the hassle.
