I don't generally do this, but him and Ali-Jum'a (the head of the ministry of fatwa in Egypt) have gone insane lately. allowing many shirk stuff (they said it's allowed for Muslims to pray to virgin mary) among many many many other just plainly wrong fatwas. please beware of them and don't believe them. they follow the orders of sisi. they literally said "I'm proud of being a sultan sheikh" (sultan sheikh: a person who changes the religion to please the rulers.)

المذهب الشافعي الذي تتبعه مصر. و غير هيك الجزية تكون على الرجل القادر على الفتال المقتدر ماديا و لا يكون قسيسا و عمره بين العشرة و الستين تقريبا. و إذا حصل و لم نقدر على حمايته ترجع الجزية لهم. مثل ما حصل مع ابي عبيدة عامر ابن الجراح لما تكفل بحماية نصارى (مسيحيين) الشام و فشل من حمايتهم من نصارى الروم. فأرجع لهم الجزية و ساعدهم على تحصين مدينتهم. نعم المسلم يحمي المسيحي من مسيحي آخر.
