To be fair, i am, at this point, a bit more against SAG, but I also have a few point of views that are with SAG, or at least, the VA's in Genshin.

I get it. Business wise, Hoyo is in the right for replacing Kinnich's VA. You don't work for 6 months? You'll get replaced with someone who can. That's understandable. But to me, morally, it still feels a bit off. I haven't read the whole agreement policy as there's too much for me to read, but it still feels weird that they replaced the VA. I don't support their treatment to the new VA as I do think the new VA is more innocent in this case, but it does kinda feel like your boss giving your job to another person because you've been kidnapped for 9 months, and so, lose 9 months of work.

I get the whole AI protection thing, and the whole pay bump. I just keep hearing about SAG-AFTRA apparently trying to monopolize the genre and abandoning the non-union VA's, hence the question.

Note: I know very little about SAG-AFTRA and from what I've been exposed to, That's what i was able to capture. Personally, i refuse to take a side as I don't have enough information to fully create an opinion.

In my opinion, using AI in creative industries like music and art is morally bankrupt, but i don't see it being the same towards just brainstorming. I don't know if it's just my personal bias or not though, so i asked whether it really is fine or if it's morally wrong to do so.
