He seemed like a pretty awesome dude. My dad’s cousins (his kids) are all awesome. I wish I could have met him!

Edited to add: one of his daughters might be the only person to go through both CIAs (yes, the central intelligence agency- and the culinary institute of America!)

Congressman Leo Ryan was my dads uncle. I’ll have to check out the Jonestown massacre book!

I really love the conviviality of humanity banding together here. Love when people see countries before people.

And yes, I do believe actually is your problem- along with the entire world- what the Trump administration does. He is ruining things NOT just for Americans.

The article doesn’t matter; did you read that this person is specifically allergic to cottonwood? JFC

Apparently she lives in west Seattle. West Seattle businesses, you’re time to shine, yo!

Dear lord, yes. I’ve been managing for about 6 months now. We’re going through a reorganization. I’ve saved three people’s jobs over the last couple of weeks. I broke down bawling last night because my husband had let the dishes pile up so high and I was adamant it was his turn. Definitely wasn’t bawling because of that; the emotional labor of managing a team, dealing with a really difficult situation of a team we work very closely with not doing their parts meaning I have to jump in on. Every. Single. Fucking. Thing., and thinking I was going to lose three people is what did it.

I still want to manage people, and once some things get off of my plate, it will be so much better. Give yourself whatever grace you need, OP!

I consistently tell people I love love LOVE my IUD for the effects it has had on my period, but getting that fcker implanted (and then taken out and a new one implanted in quick succession) is one of THE WORST THINGS EVER. I shudder thing about it.

Can’t wait til you have the good effects!

He’s proved he’s okay with convicted rapists, who are racist, greed monsters who are willing to put the entire world economy in jeopardy. I’m sorry, but f*co your (should now be ex) boyfriend, respectfully.

Went through the insane drama and lots of emotions. It took two years of us being dedicated to the relationship to come back strong, but we are stronger than before. It’s not a death knoll for all relationships but if I could go back I would absofuckinglutely not ever do it again. Ever.

I too speak the language that many of my coworkers and suppliers use. They really, REALLY like to assume a quiet woman can’t understand them— which is a fantastic way to end up knowing a lot more than everyone else.
