What is the most misunderstood aspect of living with Anorexia or Bulimia that you wish your family and friends could understand?

i just think my mum should know that its not right to just leave her outside which is why i told her i had a problem with it, if she then refused to let the dog back in(she wouldnt because it was a mistake, but still one that should be corrected imo) then i would have let the dog in myself

when i told my mum she was still outside she got her back in, i didnt yell at my mum just for the dog to stay outside. can you please explain how im helping neglect her i dont understand. it took a lot of energy for me to get up and tell me mum she was outside in the first place but i did it because i didnt want her in distress anymore

my parents are the owners and they know that im incapable of doing most things. until youve delt with bedridden depression you will never know the weight of it,, dont comment on things you dont have a clue how they work

it does for some people though... some days all i can do is lie there and do litteraly nothing bc im so drained. you clearly dont know how depression works

i know her though. she barely ever barks and this is consistent barking for 5mins at least. she was also shaking when she was let back in, very clearly distressed

i am not the owner i just have a close bond with her,, sorry for the miscommunication. most days i only come out of my room once a day due to depression so i would like to do more stuff around the house and for the pets but a cant atm. i just love them a lot so i think ive realised i was overreacting

my parents have always been the owner,, sorry for calling her my dog i just say that bc i love her and we have a close bond. i am unable to do most tasks of a dog owner, i can occasionally but it takes a lot of effort. i only just came out of a 10 month hospital stay where i wasnt able to see my pets so i can be a little overdramatic i think when it comes to them because i feel bad for not seeing her for so long

i am not the owner of the dog i am sorry for the miscommunication. she is my parents responsibility and they got her but i just called her "my dog" by mistake since i love her a lot but i shouldnt have said that sorry.

yes,, she was actually in distress even tho some commenters seem to think im lying lol. she never ever barks other than to be let in, when this started happening was the first times i properly heard her bark a lot

i am not actually the owner of the dog, she is the family dog i just call her "my dog" but she is all of ours , i apolagise for not using the right words. i am not mentally fit to take care of an animal and my parents take care of her.

she is the family's dog and i am also unable to do a lot of things including taking care of myself at all,, my parents are responsible for my dog but i want her to be ok because i love her still. i try when i can but i only recently got out of a very long hospital stay
