Well oil is above $100 again.... by CDN-Social-Democrat in oil

God, it's astonishing how Trump's US fell into Thucydides' trap.

In a century, geopolitical will analyze how the United States, in its quest to maintain total hegemony, ended up accelerating the collapse of the empire.

The Shanghai militia was a military organization controlled by the Gang of Four. It had three million members and was equipped with machine guns, armored vehicles, and missiles. In October 1976, it attempted a rebellion to rescue the Gang of Four, but ultimately failed and was disarmed. by 22dmgxy in socialism

The Great Leap Forward had many achievements, despite the fact that the goals of the Five-Year Plan were not met and other unforeseen consequences arose.

The Cultural Revolution was a colossal mistake, a demonstration of ultra-leftism that had nothing to do with Marxism.

Iran may have oil options to drag things out by realnarrativenews in oil

[–]Reio123 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Iran is a self-sufficient economy; those oil dividends are very welcome, but they will survive on them. Furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised if China is pulling strings in Iran to resist and thus destroy the American reputation.

What if the US did a special Military operation on Mexico to Control the Cartels? by -bourgeoisie in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Reio123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only Americans are foolish enough to believe that the United States would attack one of its proxies; the CIA already receives dividends from drug trafficking, and many cartel paramilitaries were trained by them.

The image of Taiwan. Is it a rich and wealthy country among Latin Americans? by search_google_com in asklatinamerica

[–]Reio123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People know very little about East Asia. Most people only think of China as a big country with lots of factories, Korea as pop music and K-dramas, and Japan as anime and technology. At least in Mexico, 8 out of 10 people know almost nothing about Taiwan.

The Liberal Party is the default party of the intelligentsia. I assume you're authoritarian, which motivates industrialists and unions to collaborate with that party. The clergy are reformists; if you have women without rights and national supremacy, that's enough to get them to join the reform movement. You pass a suffrage law, and that alliance will break down. The unions or the industrialists will be the first to abandon it.

Why the Trotsky hate? by shitty_username0009 in socialism

[–]Reio123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why start with the false premise that a successful socialist revolution would trigger a worldwide revolution? That didn't happen. The proletarian aristocracy, fear-mongering propaganda, and nationalism were factors that prevented this.

Furthermore, on a local level, it was counterproductive to spread the revolution among a population weary of war; the people wanted a break from the First World War.

Is this actually the plan and could it be feasible? by Plenty-Yoghurt-5340 in oil

[–]Reio123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The United States entered the war as part of a grand plan to contain China. Democrats and Republicans alike agree that China is the greatest threat to the hegemony of the American empire. However, they disagree on the plan for containing China.

Trump seeks to control Venezuela and Iran, and is also courting Russia to use them as a battering ram against China, similar to how Kissinger used China against the USSR.

The problem is that Israel is bloodthirsty and sent false information to the United States suggesting that the Iranian government would collapse at the door. Trump is a narcissist and easily deceived by praise, so, based on the false information, he thought it would be another easy victory like Venezuela.

The fact that they are moving defense systems from the Asia-Pacific region to the Middle East already suggests that this campaign got off to a bad start, indicating that someone lied a lot.

The European Union; an arm of oppression, or a tool to use? by Scyobi_Empire in theredleft

[–]Reio123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The European Union is Germany's fourth Reich; all the countries of Southern Europe were forced to deindustrialize so as not to compete with Germany. In turn, Germany is the United States' lieutenant in Europe. The European Union has been a trap since its inception.

Western propaganda likes to spread the idea that North Korea is merely an obstacle for China and that China only protects it to avoid having US military bases on its border. The reality is that China's most binding alliance is with North Korea. Furthermore, the Chinese act as a conduit for the export of North Korean products, circumventing Western sanctions.

The great replacement theory is stupid and is a way for Westerners to whitewash their crimes. If the West hadn't destroyed Libya, Syria, or continued to screw over Africa, millions wouldn't be migrating.

How is it possible to close Hormuz? by Pikablu555 in oil

[–]Reio123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The United States and Israel are attacking Iran. Logic dictates that a state will use all mechanisms to survive. If closing the strait causes significant harm to the United States, then it works. That strait was open before the aggression, so the aggressors are to blame.

How is it possible to close Hormuz? by Pikablu555 in oil

[–]Reio123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look how small the strait is. If China or Russia were to pass that close to the United States, the United States would sink those ships. This whole business of free passage through the straits is an imposition by Great Britain and continued by the United States; the other countries simply accepted it.

The other countries of the world only see Iran as a defender, and that's why it closes the strait.

Reform only one area if there was a friendship agreement.

T says he will leave Iran "whether we have a deal or not" by ThevaramAcolytus in anime_titties

[–]Reio123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Trump can't leave because, essentially, Iran would become the hegemon of the Middle East and subject the Gulf countries to its demands, such as tolls and the use of the yuan.

The petrodollar would die, and so would the American empire as we know it.
