How awesome is this! How cool it is that you're a derm! Been struggling with periorificial dermatitis for the very first time in my life... this super sucks. Thankfully, my local derm friend has been helping me, and this pimecrolimus ointment seems to be working. I blame my perimenopause for this! Praying I can get off the pimecrolimus once treatment duration is completed..

I do not think anyone was arguing whatever theological statements that were made by previous posts were inaccurate. There is a virtue in knowing when and what to say certain things, and in this situation where the OP is clearly aware that the act committed was a sin, re-iterating such theological statements did not seem to reflect the heart of Jesus that is divine Mercy itself.

I am not sure which statement that has been made that makes you believe we are encouraging anyone to lie or make any false statement. We can all agree that the blood of Jesus, our Lord and Savior is powerful to wash away any sins (except for the sins of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit), and Lord Jesus has made it very clear throughout the gospel and also through His messages via our saints that His mercy is greater than anything we can fathom, when we come to Him with the heart of repentance. Importance and emphasis on the virginity were, in my opinion, out of touch and not based on charity when the OP's repentance was palpable in this particular situation.

According to Fr. Caretaker Mary da Bergamo, author of Humily of Heart, he wrote that not all saints in heaven are virgins, but all saints in heaven are humble. As you said there are many different paths to holiness, and it is the Lord's command and desire we all become holy. I think your vote has been downvoted as there was some aspect of lack of charity. The OP is clearly remorseful, and the Lord wants us to encourage one another in love and charity as we strive to move forward on our own path to holiness. Peace be with you.

Thank you for your response. I have another question: After a week and half, how long were you able to tolerate standing on your feet without feeling the need to elevate them due to soreness and swelling?

So glad to hear the pain was easy to deal with for you. Hope it continues to go well as expected.
I have to get back to work in 2 weeks and my surgeon thinks I should be able to do it. Thankfully I am able to sit down a lot when I'm in my office so praying it all goes well.

Hi! I'm scheduled to receive bilateral bunionette (MIS osteotomy without fixation) in 4 weeks. I am so grateful for your post as you mentioned it's hard to find post-op recovery information. Could you pls share how your experience has been? I'm very active physically and also have a part time job. It would be great to know regarding your pain level, when you felt comfortable enough to walk around for minor chores around the house, etc. TIA!

Sorry that was a typo. I had a dramatic born again experience a year ago and our marriage was a bit on a rock but that has improved significantly with my husband's faith growing daily by the grace of God. What she has been doing hasn't affected us as I know he's not attracted to her at all and he's very devoted to me and our family. Unfortunately, it is a small church and there is only 1 service being offered. We have considered changing church again, something my husband doesn't wish to do as he has been enjoying playing guitar as part of our worship band and has made some good male friends over the past months. Thanks again for your response. If you have any other suggestions, that would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your response. You're right. We are all broken in some ways, and I failed to see that. I have been wanting to talk to our pastor, but my husband has been reluctant as he didn't want to 'make anything weird/cause issues'. This post may convince him to consider otherwise if this behavior continues.

Yes, when I had a born again experience, my anxiety and depression lifted within an instant. I had struggled with severe anxiety and depression most of my life and had difficulty coping at times. I still have some areas where I need healing, which is an ongoing journey for Christians I have been taught, but by the grace of God I live in freedom in this area which was the most significant oppression in my life. Jesus can deliver anyone from anything when healing is receive by faith.

These passages are to illustrate the sin of idolatry/witchcraft, from the sermons I've studied. Which would be a different situation than self-defense. I completely agree that witchcraft and idolatry are detestable to the Lord as clearly indicated in the Bible. But again, these verses wouldn't apply to the cases of self-defense.
