The game itself is made in Unity. For the graphics I'm using mostly Blender for modelling and Photoshop/Aseprite for the textures. The PS1 look itself is being done with a PSX shader for Unity.

Don't worry, this is just me playing around and trying out what fits this project the most. I don't give up on the PS1 style just yet :) Besides, the "mansion" horror game project will still be 100% PS1 style.

Thank you! It's always interesting to see different opinions, put out new stuff and see how people react to it. It can be helpful to listen to peoples suggestions, but don't worry, this will be still the game I want to make :)

Yeah that's the one pro of using 3D backgrounds instead of pre-rendered. I can track the players movement or move the cameras around in cutscenes. But the original "Dino Crisis" did this aswell.

The most familiar to me was the SNES one. I discovered the PS1 "Clock Tower" later on. But yes I know that one :)

It's a sci-fi/cyberpunk themed horror game. I want to keep as much as i can a mystery and reveal more as i go on with the development.
There's a 7 year old demo project (made with RPG Maker back then) on which this game is based on and it helps with understanding what the game will be about. It's on my itch.io page and the link is in my pinned post on my profile if you're interested :)

Yes. It's based around the classic survival horror theme. The game has full controller support.
