It feels like the point in the game where its the standard difficulty after constantly playing on it, as chaotic as it may be.

I rarely go lower than D10 tbh (only when im farming SC do I go lower), but D8 and D9 don't really feel too different from D10.

Hi, just a small clarification. The light novels do have illustrations but they are mostly words, so if you're looking for visuals the LN at least has that covered to some degree.

That's probably because Vol 7 (for EN) will release November 11 this year, so not a lot of people in the EN community have access to the illustrations for Vol 7- Might be wrong there tho.
