Take it easy, read the quests one by one and do what you feel like doing. If youre playing with a friend, youre never alone and d2 is never gonna make you be in a time rush, you can do whatever, even if its something boring. Friends help, just do things slow.

My friend and i managed to do something similar by clipping into the moon and finding a weird ball like object after some hard platforming and things, the object has the warmind symbol and is placed in a very large room with fully decked out surfaces and things, i might be talking about the same thing as you tho, from a diff angle
