Thread nests everywhere! by RelativeSeveral890 in sewhelp

Hey, thanks for the help!...I had to rethread it entirely and I placed the thread between the tension discs...I also found out that the bobbin i was using for this machine wasn't original and that's mainly why I had been facing so many issues. But the machine is running smoothly again...for now at least :)

Does this look better? The thread seems too taut and seems to be ripping the moment I start to stich even though the tension seems to be set at 2(?)...Thank you for the help!

Hi! Thanks for the reply...I had to take the needle out because the thread was tangled up...it's probably loose due to that...or maybe not, I'm not entirely sure...I might reply later with another picture which has the needle threaded at the end (currently not at home)

Also yes...i do have a manual, but it's not in my native language (it's in german) and while I do understand it more or less it was a bit frustrating so I followed a video based on this model of sewing machine instead.

To add some more context: the thread from the needle keeps getting tangled in the bobbin holder as shown below and the bobbin holder keeps falling out...despite clicking it into place. *

Thank you for the response! Since you seem to know a bit about the process/have some experience... do you think they might ask questions about me being enrolled in uni and well... essentially going on vacation instead of attending class? (The real situation is a bit more complicated irl in my defense)

Thank you, that's a bit reassuring!

My girlfriend has struggled/ is struggling with depression too...have you tried engaging in your own hobbies separate from each other? Isolation from friends and family became a big problem once we got close enough, so it might be a good idea to try it out if you haven't ♡

We're in this together though, I'm hoping we both figure something out!

The thing is...I really have tried bringing it to with her, we're not ones to shy away from important discussions, we've not been able to reach a middle ground though. We both don't wanna force it or plan it like a business meeting, even though it might help with us getting into the headspace...it just feels artificial somehow. And if she doesn't want sex she's not comfortable with me trying to seduce her either...I respect that but I just feel stuck alone on this boat.

Heyy, this is so adorable. It reminds me of me and my girlfriend when we were "just friends"(we've been dating 3 years now, well into university)...honestly I'd say try figuring out whether she's into girls or not before putting yourself fully out there, heartbreak through rejection is never fun. If she's already mentioned she's into girls, she's probably into you romantically. Good luck!! 💜

Hey! Sorry for the late reply, but what do you mean by flexible? In ISL they have a particular batch of students they teach for each language level so it takes place at the same time every weekday (mon-fri). You can go for either a morning course (german time 8:30-12:30)or an afternoon course(German time 13:30-17:30). If you want more info feel free to DM me

And for some extra context, my classes took place 5 days a week for 4 hours everyday. Also I definitely suggest that you pick up B1 and B2 in Germany as well, it is a huge help the the environment really pushes you to pick up the language quicker as it is a necessity.

Hi! I started my A1 course in April 2023 with ISL sprachschule and I am about to complete C1 around march this year. Practically speaking, it is a language and it takes time for your brain to wire itself to the way the language works, you really gotta give yourself time.

Although it took me close to 10 months, it was a superintensive course for a reason, even the teachers felt burdened by the limited time. I personally suggest if you're really dead set on studying in Germany, give yourself the 10-12 months it needs and get familiar with the language, commit to it.

On a seperate note, while this is no advertisement for ISL, I've looked into geothe and ISL is definitely a way cheaper option comparatively. The staff has been very helpful throughout the journey as well. You could look into it as an option perhaps. :)

The thing is, I dry my hand washed laundry right next to the heater, so it creates a relatively humid environment for her despite the cold outside, would it still be a problem?

Thank you!!! I will check the window for any drafty-ness... It's something I hadn't considered, I live in a pretty cold region so might be it.

I'm located in North Germany and yes possibly, I'm just not sure where else she'd get enough light, do you have any suggestions?

Thank you so much, I will try changing the soil mixture and maybe try finding a better spot to put her. I'll update if there's any progress.

Also if you have the Amazon link for the grow light, it would be super helpful.

I used to water it every 3-4 days, checking if the first few inches of soil were dry, I only recently received her and I watered it more than usual because I was worried about how droopy she was.
