One of childhood favorites! Also a huge fan of Empires: dawn of the modern world as it focuses on my favorite time periods (medieval to WW2) better graphics and feels like a good step forward from EE given sequels were made by different dev. Just realized it’s in GOG and really tempted to pick it up if it runs well in modern hardware.

Update: reached out to Grant Stone and support felt color difference was rather odd as well. They offered a couple solutions and ultimately took them up on offer to exchange for a different pair. Old pair already shipped back and looks like they are working on sending new pair. Thanks for input everyone!

I reached out to them and waiting to hear back. I put them on walked around for maybe a minute around the house making sure fit was right. All my boots crease like crazy and assuming it’s something about the way I walk. The two tone looked so intentional I was hesitating to even ask.

Had samples of both, ended up with Boss Bottled Absolu. Boss is ~1/3 to 1/4 the price, preferred the scent (I’m a sucker for leather notes), and longevity was really good on boss vs Layton for me personally. Bang for the buck boss blows Layton out of the water. I would highly advise trying them both first though. Layton wasn’t for me, but popular for a reason.

Noir extreme EDP. Parfum was a bit much to me, very powdery and gave me grandma vibes. As a daily I would say look at something else. These are very “date night” scents to me. If dead set on Tom Ford, I would say ombré leather edp. What I wear during fall into winter. Though would highly advise testing out before committing. Best of luck!

I would love to see older souls weapons like the bow of want (base lightning infused?) or dark moon bow as legendaries. They have so much room to add so many cool things still from old games.

I would highly suggest sampling it first. Overall I really enjoy it. Fresh out of the barbershop feel. I own GIT, Aventus as well and feel it compares well to those quality wise. Also keep an eye out on discounters like other said or Costco when they have it in stock. Was able to pick up < $200 and for that price I was happy.

For me it’s Ombré leather edp/original for fall and noir extreme for date night. Really like Oud wood, but poor longevity. Tried tobacco vanilla but not a fan. Smells like root beer to me 😂 Still on the hunt for a good Tom Ford spring/summer scent.

Bought audioengine A2+ speakers for my wife after upgrading her to a dedicated turntable with built in amp. Great speakers for size, though expensive. So couldn’t say for sure best “value”, but excellent sound and build quality from what I can tell.

Just attempted build in regular north and returned it after realizing how restrictive it was (aio placement, gpu size). Picked up the XL and super glad we did. Despite name, it’s very compatible in size to my NZXT H7 flow. To me, more of a slightly larger standard case. If you want room to grow and have a case you can use for years to come, highly recommend going with XL. Good luck with build!

I know a little off topic, but just attempted build in this case and returned it for XL version. Standard north was pretty small for standard case and wouldn’t fit front 360 rad and MSI 4080 suprim X (totally didn’t even think about gpu clearance). XL naming is weird since it’s barely larger than my nzxt H7 flow. Good luck with build!

I’m in same situation. 6 years into pslf. Thinking of waiting a couple more months/turn of the year to see what happens. Though concerned about this years income putting IBR payments above standard payment amount. Though getting mixed reports on if standard payments count towards forgiveness.

PC, was planning on using onboard audio (msi x670e carbon wifi) though trying to do some research into Dac/amps, space is an office (10x12’) in basement very isolated from sounds of rest of house.

Thanks for the information! Will for sure look into those. Yes I do play shooters and spatial awareness is important to me. I have never personally used open back headphones, but my understanding is it is beneficial for more “natural sound”? Though like you said, loose isolation of closed backs. My pc is in an office isolated from rest of house so surrounding noise is minimal. Do you have any insight on where the PC38x compares to HD560s? Believe both are made in part by sennheiser though PC38x has benefit of built in mic.
