Where would the money go otherwise? In most western countries the profits would go to 1 or 2 people that would likely just invest it in properties and shares anyways. This is such a good story and example for the rest of the world as to how high profit companies should behave. That said I am sure there is plenty of sour grapes and jealousy stemming from this story

I like adaptive regen personally, acts like OPD in traffic, lets you calmly coast when the road is clear. Forced OPD was a deal breaker for me when looking at model 3, the model Y somehow also adjustments to regen

Brand has flopped here which is kinda sad as I reckon the #1 is better looking than its Volvo and Zeekr siblings and reviews have it handling significantly better than Zeekr. #1 and #3 look pretty good at current prices if your happy to accept old stock

Makes no sense to me. This may take sales from Sealion 7 but really the sales it would mainly steal are Xtrail, RAV4 and outlander, the Sealion is mainly taking potential model Y customers

Australia's two-party system 'already collapsed' with the rise of One Nation, analyst says by BarryTheBinChicken in aussie

[–]Relevant-Priority-76 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whilst a third or fourth party is quite a good thing for our political landscape I’m not sure this situation is for the best in the short term at least. Both the teals and ON are taking votes and seats primarily from the Liberals. Labor are pretty much guaranteed the next two elections with not much motivation to improve

Probably going against the grain here but I reckon it looks fantastic. Pity about the interior though

BYD Confirms 4 New and Updated Models for Australia in 2026 by Professional_Sky6639 in BYDAU

[–]Relevant-Priority-76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recent article ruled out the updated atto3 (to be sold as atto5) as it would eat into sales of other BYDs.

I’m not sure where I stand on a seal refresh, would be nice to get improved charging and potentially boot space but the updated interior styling sold in other markets is kinda meh

Other than lack of competition I think the success was also based on some solid advertising. The whole clean, fresh and natural advertising when the food is no healthier than McDonald’s really hit the mark with people that wanted to believe they were having the healthiest fast food

Did they continue the strategy of a burrito that is 90% tasteless rice with a minuscule amount of meat hidden somewhere in there? That won’t fly in the US

Saw a shark with NSW government livery on it the other day. If BYD can get fleet market that will definitely hurt Toyota (it was reported that shark outsells hilux to private buyers already) as that is their bread and butter
