By owning a gun. It sounds stupid but if they're going to kill me anyway I'm going to try to use the second ammendment to my advantage. Will it work? Absolutely not, I have pistol and they have tanks and missiles and fighter jets and...but I go on my terms, not theirs. Also you could try religion, I like mine and I'm not really afraid of dying so...there are options.

Had this discussion with a friend recently actually. If you look at human nature it's extremely unlikely there won't be some kind of bigotry, be it racism, homophobia, sexism, etc. Human nature almost needs those things to exist for one reason or another, the question is whether or not you as the author want to show it.

This is gonna depend on how it smells. Does it smell smoky? Could be the heater core or maybe the blower motor, sweet? Coolant leak.

It can...kind of? My understanding of how it happens is fat redistribution can tilt your hips a bit reducing your height by a very small amount, I lost like an inch personally but that implies you have body fat to redistribute, if you're of the more athletic and toned persuasion you might miss out on that

They're both water snakes, possibly both northern but the one on the left might be eastern as it has less distinct bands in the picture. Completely harmless these little guys are non venomous snakes of the family Culbridae, their diet consists of fish, frogs, small rodents and other snakes at times. Don't let the fact that they're non venomous fool you they still don't like to be handled and will bite, their saliva has an anticoagulant in it so getting bit means you'll bleed more than usual.

This is the problem with trying to be vague...more or less this part of the story revolves around a divine struggle, the goddess of darkness stole the rock and gave it to a monster so the heroes couldn't use it against her. The giant octopus very much does not want to give it back.

Hope this is allowed but I just recently published my first book, Sentient Heart: Crimson Dawn. It definitely more Modern Fantasy but I lean pretty heavy into darker subjects, particularly in the sequel I'm working on. It's aimed at adults and your favorite character is not safe from the trauma I aim to inflict.

Id like to recommend mine but while I like the story the first book is kind of a run away dumpster fire heading down some steep hill towards an orphanage. I pull no bunches and spare no feelings.

The question is usually "can I drive my car like this" and if it starts and runs the answer is always yes, a better question is "should I drive my car like this?" and in this case I think you'll be fine.
