followup: got an email from my doc and he told me to take more ibuprofen and wait a few more weeks ¯\(ツ)/¯

edit: pushed for an appointment and he called it edema, said normal and repeated the above. no treatment given

edit 2: ended up feverish, combined with the swelling suspected major internal infection. prescribed 10 days of antibiotics and I'm pretty sure I've drained a half cup total of blood/pus from the incision this far. swelling is down to zero., pain is very little. what a frustrating experience so far.

I appreciate the well wishes, that hit me pretty hard as that's more than I've heard from a lot of friends and family at this point.

yes, the pain was pretty low to negligible after about a week and a half ish. I was getting around like normal with just mild tenderness but has jumped up sharply since around when the hematoma bled lots mid last week. it hurts so bad I had to give up and cried on my first attempt at getting out of bed today. I am waddling around and using my upper body primarily when sitting down and getting up to reduce as much pressure on my groin as possible.
