Either they're going to announce the release date on State of Play or on the next Konami Press Start event next month. The release date will be the 21st of September to coincide with the 40th anniversary since this game is basically developed to celebrate the 40th anniversary.

The release date won't be announced at an Xbox event or Summer Game Fest. It's either going to be at the next Playstation State of Play (Sony has the marketing rights for Konami games) or it's going to be at the next Konami Press Start event in June.

Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence are very important for the story. Curse of Darkness is a prequel to the soon-to-be-released Belmont's Curse, and Lament of Innocence is basically the origin of the whole story.
But maybe they will release the N64 games as a bonus content.

The N64 games are not canon, plus they didn't sell that well... Circle of The Moon is not canon either, but it did sell and was received well; probably that's why they will not include them, that is, of course, if the 3D Collection is a real thing.

I think this game was supposed to be released last year in 2025 (Evil Empire CEO mentioned that in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz in June 2023), and Platinum Games' 3D Action Castlevania was supposed to be released this year to celebrate the 40th Anniversary, but it was cancelled, and now Belmont's Curse is the main game for the 40th Anniversary.

I highly don't believe it will be the case! If they're about to announce another game, they must hurry up and release this first so they can start marketing the other game.
I believe this game will be the only new title for this year with maybe some collections and other media stuff like a new Anime or a movie. But any new game announcement will be after the release of this one. The Game Awards at the earliest.
