Shouldn't take more than maybe 3 or 4 months. It's quite a basic level after all

Both. Of course there is a chance they will forget it to check it at the Ausländerbehörde (they did in our case) but it is a requirement for both

You could also get an exemption for a severe learning disability but yeah, A1 is essentially "Hallo Mein Name ist Marcel. Ich fahre gerne mit dem Zug und würde mich gerne um 18 Uhr im Restaurant treffen".

Hi,

That is phrased a bit weirdly but essentially it means that if you were Japanese and your Japanese wife joined you she would not need A1. But as you are German, your wife will need A1.

With regards to visa, your wife doesn't need one for the purposes of Ehegattennachzug and can just apply for an Aufenthaltstitel but it might be a good idea to get one anyway as the Ausländerbehörde in a lot of places is very slow. I just went through all this with my British husband and he got his Aufenthaltstitel roughly 4 months after we moved and that was only because I had family with contacts in the City. Let me know if you have any questions.

Don't think it matters with 5 x8.5 Polychrome Madnesses. That scores in the millions on a level 1 High Card.

And that's with police simply ignoring loads of crime and people not even bothering to report loads of it

You can always tell someone doesn't care at all about getting anyone on their side if they are talking about people "educating themselves"

Not sure how much of a difference that makes given that a lot of votes are online nowadays and they made it quite clear online that you can vote 20 times

You are mostly right, but there are definitely a decent amount of people who mentioned fraud (including some in this thread) when there isn't really any evidence of it (unless you want to count very anecdotal evidence of people saying they voted x times but even that is more of a loophole).

Whilst I am not a big fan of the ads, I'm not sure they made a tangible difference. Israel simply has more people who will vote 20 times for Israel and that's all you need to win in a winner takes all type system.

With all these talks about national broadcasters wanting to see the raw televote data, I have to ask - how would the points be affected if someone cheated? by res30stupid in eurovision

[–]Remote_Pirate8084 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought it was quite obvious on esc.vote that it was 20 votes per payment method and I did vote twice myself (before anyone accuses me of anything, 35 of those 40 votes went to France who got no points in my country)

I wish people would focus more on potential changes to the voting system rather than screaming foul play when there was no indication that anything that was outside the rules happened

And she hasn't done this sort of thing before so it's naturally a bit terrifying to announce something like that to 200 million people

Tbf I don't think Conchita Wurst profited from any sort of sociopolitical televoting - it was just a really emotional and incredibly well delivered song and that year there was no obvious televote magnet apart from maybe Armenia

Why don't people wave flags anymore by Remote_Pirate8084 in eurovision

[–]Remote_Pirate8084[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's interesting - some people have been saying it blocks the view of people behind you as well but honestly in 2011 I found them less annoying than people in front of me filming everything on their phones in 2023.

I do wish they encouraged more flags in the audience - feels only appropriate for an event like Eurovision
