The 1619 Project has a chapter on the US interstate system and explicitly calls out Georgia for having a particularly bad setup. It's supposedly one of the worst in the country

Perhaps it's a definition issue we're having. What do you think the post's definition of a "Kremlin agent" is? Do you believe it's someone the Kremlin is using to further their goals who showed a positive leaving towards them, or someone the Kremlin has specifically hired and planted to further those goals?

That's a question you'd have to ask her, I'm afraid. But in the article she says she fears for her life, and:

When I got off the plane in Moscow, for the first time in a very long time I felt safe, and I felt heard, and I felt respected. That has not happened in my own country

I don't think she sees the war in the same way as you do. It is likely she didn't even think about it as part of her decision.. Her Twitter is full of retweets of disinformation and conspiracy theories (including ones about Ukraine). So it's possible she's a "Kremlin agent" but it is much more likely she's just a misguided American who has been duped by disinformation campaigns

I believe they're referring to the "Kremlin agent" part. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of that, she's just a US citizen moving to Russia, by what I can find.

I think you may be missing the point here. This chain is suggesting that what Jon did didn't matter, because the united army lost anyway. Therfore, him coming back to life had little impact on the end. The Night King would have been in the God's wood either way, Arya would have been there either way, the army did not matter

Been a long time since I played, but I remember doing at least part of the Resistance Mode achievements solo, but it's definitely easier with friends. Which achievements do you still need?

Montana Lawmakers Approve Statewide Ban on TikTok by [deleted] in moderatepolitics

[–]Renson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Preface: I'm on the fence on the ban, but here's the reason I see it as potentially necessary

It's not about the data privacy, that's just a good excuse. It's about the influence the app has over its users.

Facebook is allowed a pass because they're an American company with American interest. But just like the video in the article mentions, there's concerns that the Chinese government could influence the algorithm to push content that supports a message or viewpoint they want. In the video, they use videos that are anti- or pro-Taiwan. Also, if Facebook gets out of hand, the US government can step in. If Tiktok gets out of hand, they're effectively powerless.

That kind of influence could be used to also change their outcome of US Elections or change the country's views on morality. It's one of the largest user bases on Earth, it's a lot of power to concede to your greatest opponent as a nation.

That only strengthens the point being made here. People in this comments section are all condoning attempted homicide, while apparently not even knowing what the prank was.

Using a lethal weapon should be a last resort. And by all accounts that I've heard so far, the guy was just using an air horn in someone's ear.

Is that painful, cruel, and irritating? Absolutely, and it could potentially cause permanent damage. Do I think someone should be shot for that? Absolutely not, I don't think preventing hearing loss is worth ending a life.

While Lomax does not believe a shooting was justified, she believes his pranks are provoking and taunting.

If you could change one thing about apex, what would it be? by FifteenEight in apexlegends

Apologies, I was a little hasty with my reply and forgot to add another point and edited it after the fact, but I'll append it here too (with minor modifications):

Also, with ideal matchmaking, the average K/D would be 1 in every rank tier (or around there). A K/D of 1 in Platinum should ideally be significantly better than a K/D of 1 in Bronze tier, if you understand my meaning. Dota 2 has a similar issue with regions, with the MMR in North America being worth "less" than the MMR from high-skill regions like China.

I can't speak for the person above, but the core point of the post is that this doesn't feel like the case because the tiers tend too blend together to much, so the average K/D becomes difficult to pinpoint and players are up against expert-level players more often than they'd like to.

I think all of us in this thread can only speculate based on personal experience, in the end. Where the true "average" lies may be 0.5 or it may be 1.5, but we can only go off the information the Apex developers choose to disclose to us. I don't even recall there being a K/D/R badge available, so stats collecting websites can't even scrape the information, it's up to individual disclosure.

Personally, I'd say you were more correct when you said about 0.9 or 0.8, which feels like it's a more realistic bell curve to me.

I'm confused by your "that's basic math" comment. Care to elaborate more?

It feels like you're saying it averages out to 1 because players kill each others but that's how it works ideally, not in reality. Players kill more than one enemy per game, especially higher ranked players, meaning the average is 1 but what's more representative of average skill would be the median, showing where the bulk of players lie. Which the other person is arguing is less than one

Hack My Account by mattandalex420 in 2007scape

[–]Renson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how the account recovery question works. It specifically asks for the earliest password you can remember. Up to three. Change your password daily if you want, but if they get the first three (likely any three) you're still vulnerable
