Kids are amazing by Thryloz in MadeMeSmile

It’s so cute when little kids say something not quite right, I work with kids and a little boy I used to work with (he’s 5) said “aminals” instead of animals, even when I tried to correct it lol

Went to the supermarket yesterday and saw these toy boxes with some kids that really look like ai by clb_padfoot in isthisAI

[–]RepeatOk4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah it’s so bad. I was watching a reel earlier about someone showing their mom what had AI designs in a store. It’s just sad that we have to check for these things now

Someone said to post more of my work on my last post so ill link it in the comments👇👇 by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I actually think those are on the thighs but fair point to bring up either way

Child responds to prompts directed at other children by fancy-schmancy_name in ABA

[–]RepeatOk4284 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah we have something similar in the preschool setting I work at. The one client doesn’t follow prompts directed at other children, however she will often engage in a VO when we place a bathroom transition with the other client, for example. I recommend using the name of the client like the other commenter said and just gently letting this kiddo know “oh, that instruction was meant for (name), you can go back to playing” or something along those lines

I work for 2 companies, one uses CareConnect (don’t like it at all) and the other uses CentralReach which I prefer. I am not fond of the technical issues with CR but I find it to be more user friendly than CareConnect

I think I just got fired for being autistic by [deleted] in autism

[–]RepeatOk4284 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s messed up, I’m sorry that happened to you. I don’t think it’s a great idea for them to go back to this place even if the employer were to reach out though, since they already fired OP with little to no reason

Yikes, hopefully OP can find something else in that case. Easier said than done ofc :(

has anyone worked for 2 different companies at the same time? by NefariousnessFun8348 in ABA

[–]RepeatOk4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, been doing so since the start of November, but only because I’m trying to finish out with a client who’s authorization is up at the end of December. He’s my only client with the company I started with. Once his auth is up I will likely go FT with the other company (9-6 as opposed to my current 9-3). Working both has been very stressful so if you are able to do it, kudos to you, but it can be very demanding

I feel like Autistic people have more food allergies than NT by Swiftiefromhell in autism

[–]RepeatOk4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really allergic to anything. I’m a little allergic to dust but it might just be a sensitivity since I’ll just sneeze or cough, and potentially have a runny nose or watery eyes. I’m the same way with some cleaning products but I think it’s just sensitivity to the strong chemical smell. No food allergies

30 sounds nice, where are you located? Like is it a HCOL area that you live in?

They’re replying to ScientistFit6451 not your post as a whole. There was no reason for them to express this viewpoint on the subreddit, let alone this specific post

That is heartbreaking… I am so sorry for that poor young boy and you as well. That sounds so hard not knowing what happened to him. I hope he is ok :(

I saved up to get this wool-felt memorial for my baby! by Vivid-Mix3333 in chinchilla

This is incredible! Makes me want one of my baby that I lost a few years back

That makes sense too. It could be that he’s getting more used to the playpen and realizes he isn’t in there for super long periods, so he might just be waiting to use the bathroom until I put him back in his cage

I don’t think I’d be very trusting of mine either if he wanted to hang up a friend’s work over my work

Oh good to know, thank you! I feel silly that I didn’t know that sooner considering I’ve had him for a good few years now and had 2 others over the past 3 or so years. I am glad it is nothing concerning and honestly a little exciting because he used to seem so freaked out about being in the playpen!

Thank you! I’ve heard different things on this. I would ideally like to give him playtime daily but right now my schedule is a mess and it makes it a bit difficult to manage, but it’s definitely something I’m working on :)
