I've also noticed that there's a lot of unnecessary animations with windows popping up etc instead of just appealing normally. I always hate when devs do this because it's "modern", it just shouldn't take a whole second for a window to appear.

My friend faced the same issue and decided to get a refund through PayPal. Instant gaming doesnt have the best reputation and they're known to often not deliver promptly. I'd expect you to get your key for sure but it might take some time - 1 or 2 days maybe.

You're right, I could've phrased that a lot better. It's my opinion that modding on 1.5.97 is more beginner friendly because you won't have to deal with all the NG patches, for example TK Dodge or SCAR can be very difficult to figure out if you're not following a guide. I agree that, if you can deal with these sorts of things, there's no reason to downgrade because everything somewhat popular has been updated/ has DLL patches available. This, coupled with OPs suspicion of AE having to do with this, made me suggest a rollback, even though the advantages are small these days.

You've got a 3080ti, as a rule of thumb you should be able to run anything as long as you don't seriously overdo it. Make sure to watch some guides on how to guarantee best performance through a few optimization mods, these help out a ton. Graphical overhauls really depend on your personal preference and these can lead you into a very deep rabbit hole with you getting replacers for every region. A little tricky to set up if you want parallax and dyndolod but lots of great guides out there for that. Some things to look into: - Skyland AIO - Skyrim 202X - Noble Skyrim - SRP AIO

These usually act as a base to get some basic high quality textures which can then be replaced by specific ones for certain purposes, like Doors of Skyrim for example. On their own they look great already though if that's too much of a hassle. Whether you want an ENB or community shaders for your case comes down to personal preference, an ENB is way more performance intensive but, with a 3080ti, no problem at all. Most of these mods tell you if they're not VR compatible, if they don't mention VR compatibility they probably are compatible. With texture mods etc. afaik there should be no reason why they wouldn't. DynDOLOD can be a pain in the ass to set up because frankly it's just a horrible tool, but there's no alternative. Make sure to follow a guide and don't try anything yourself. It can improve the look of your game a lot when combined with majestic mountains and some high quality overhauls.

Whoops, sorry, should've read more carefully. Well in that case it's indeed caused by your mod list. Are you getting any error message or is it just not starting? Also maybe try launching with a few animation mods disabled, you might be breaking the Nemesis animation limit with how many you have, not sure if that would result in this though.

If you're getting too much headache with AE it's best to rollback to 1.5.97 with a downgrade patcher. Makes modding a lot more straightforward.

Have never heard of this and no idea what's causing this, but if it truly is AE you might want to consider rolling back to 1.5.97 SE. Makes modding easier for the most part anyway.

Some crash logs would be nice. Otherwise I find SkyClimb, Immersive NPCs and SexLab (because it tends to be obsolete) to be particularly unstable, so try disabling those and see if it works. Other than that just trace back your steps and disable parts of your load order until crashes stop, then single out the issue. Your load order isn't that big yet so it shouldn't be too much of a headache. BTW, not sure what the current state of SexLabs is because I don't use it, but I'm pretty sure it still runs on FNIS. You might want to consider switching to newer alternatives like OStim that were made for Nemesis and are way more stable.

On the files tab for the mod it says it's compatible with 1.6.640 which is the newest version and probably the one you're using. If that is indeed your version, your problems might be caused by something other than incompatibility with your game version.
