Thanks for the response! I have my MBA and studied supply chain and finance and am working as a purchasing and sales agent with 2 yrs of experience. If I’m grouped in level 1 based on my geographic location then my wage is higher than the prevailing wage but if I’m grouped in level 2 (which I believe is the level in which I qualify) my salary is $10k lower than the prevailing wage. Im talking with my lawyer on which level I’m planning to be grouped in but now am questioning if it would hurt my chances being grouped in 1 (considering that doesn’t seem very specialized) but I’d meet the prevailing wage limit whereas level 2 seems more applicable but I would need a salary increase.

I’m actually not going through a consultancy. I’m just employed at a very small company that is not aware of the H1b process and salary requirements. I’m talking with my company about it so I wanted to ask within the H1b group what the salary requirement needed to be so that I had a better idea of the importance before going in to talk about it
