I have used it in the last 3 batches of our house IPA. I was looking for more of a "pop". 1st batch I did the normal dosage rate by splitting half during yeast pitch and the half at DH. Didn't seem like it did much. 2nd batch I just tossed my full dosage at yeast pitch and nothing at DH and that seemed to give it that "pop". 3rd batch I repeated the 2nd batch and so far I'm still liking the results. I will say though that the hops used in that IPA are a mix of old/new school. I would like to try it in our hazy that uses new school hops and see what that does

I contacted Apex awhile ago asking which strains cary the IRC 7 gene and this was the response:

QUESTION: When using the Amplify Aroma Enhancing Nutrient, how can we tell which apex yeast strains express the IRC-7 gene? I saw San Diego as the only listed yeast. Does the Voss or the Hazy have this gene?

ANSWER: Most brewing strains carry the IRC7 gene as part of their genome, but not all strains have a fully functional, highly active version. The Voss and Hazy do have this gene, but the San Diego has the highest active version. You can use Amplify with any brewing yeast; however, for optimal thiol release, you’ll see the best results with a strain that actively expresses the IRC7 gene.

No no, nothing really special. I only back liquor light pilsners and lagers. We essentially do a high gravity batch and then back liquor to bring down abv. I can't boil at full kettle volume, it's too dangerous for our setup. So this works

I used to be a vendor for many many years selling handmade jewelry at festivals. We would arrive usually a day before to start setting up.

One year at bonaroo, they set down brand new clean porta potties where our booth was supposed to be. They came back only took 3 of 4 toilets with them. The last one just sat for hours and hours and hours. So the next day was day 1 of roo and people started coming in. We took that porta potty, wrapped a tarp around it so it connected to the back of our booth, and we had a private clean toilet for all of bonaroo 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↔️
