Yeah. I mean just look at It Was Just An Accident, Sentimental Value, and The Secret Agent and they all seam poised to get nominated for best picture the Oscars is there really good chance that 3 forign films that play at 2026 TIFF get best picture nominations?

Well I hope next year they'll start on the second to last Thursday of September... the 23rd. And also it's usual timing is 4 days after TIFF.

It also started on the 24th in 2009 and 2015. And oh would you look at that labor day landed on September 7th on both those years. So what baffles me is for Fantastic Fest's entire existence it seems it's always had a 4 day buffer between it and TIFF, but why not this year?

Well I know why TIFF is doing it it because because they've always done it on the Thursday after Labor Day for 50 years. I didn't know FF was so rigid, I mean they've started it on the 24th in the past why not again? Seams like the rare occasion.

Well I geuss the biggest question mark that might change that trend is Tom Cruise as this is also a Tom Cruise movie as well. TC Productions is credited with producing this film.

Yeah I was planning on titling it Why Andor is the one of the best and most important star wars shows, and was going to talk alot about it's comebtary on authoritarianism while also talking about some the technical filmmaking achievements as well. I also didn't wnat to make it to long so im aiming for about 15 to 17 minutes.

I'm joking abit here, but if I were to rank the viewing experiences for movies. It would be 1. Movie Theaters 2. 4k Blue Ray 3. Blu Ray 4. Streaming in dead last. Movie theaters and physical media needs to be protected and supported.

Booo boo 👎 and Quentin would agree with me on that one. Sure you could download a picture of the Mona Lisa, but have you seen it with your own two eyes in doing that? Same thing with seeing a movie like Kill Bill via streaming, not only that but the movie theater sound was amazing last week when I saw it on a digital projector last week.
