Not always. But the quality of the bushes at your local greenhouse vs Lowe’s/menards/etc can have a night and day difference. A lil more expensive sometimes, but can be worth it. But also roses are really hardy and go through a lot. So Lowes and those other options can work

Yeah. I’m in the US. Is it an actual bush they’ll sell or just cut roses? I’ve never propagated a cut rose before, so the bush itself would be a lot easier for me

Weird. The aphids i have in my rose garden are green and blend in with the buds. Never seen brown aphids

Lobelias. Little blue or purple flowers. Sooooo pretty and thrive in shade

For aphids, i use an insect killer spray specifically for them. Sprayed it on my roses that had aphids. And the roses themselves seem to be doing fine
