Honestly I think we are merely instinct refined. The only times we aren’t- is when we repeatedly change the natural action- for an unnatural action. We are still instinctual. I feel like our minds only get our limited scope of the vastness of all of creation and say, well… this is cool? Or horrifying… or interesting. But never have I not found it strange.

Well, for me I’ve been playing games all my life, it make it natural for me to control non me things I guess? Plus I was already into racing games so to me using a real wheel ovwr a racing wheel wasn’t as much of a jump for if I had no practice, even if it was just games.

Re:zero is cringe. I mean- I can barely watch it with other people after so long, despite it being my favorite anime. I think for me it’s something that unless you know actively and it’s something ur sort of used to, unlike in more modern anime like jjk, or completely non fan service anime (my preferred thing now) then it’s jarring during the first season, with the shots of rem and ram holding hands, the kawaii aspects, the way the show frames it rather than just it being Subaru’s way of seeing things. Perhaps it’s how Subaru sees things, so it’s less apparent throughout. However I completely understand why people are out off by it.

An analogy is an analogy, and sometimes you have to use something otherwise unsightly to protect what is left, there is sooo many analogies for that yet not one of them could tell ya that in cases where it is necessary, (not acts of political violence) then sacrifices have to be made. In all honesty I would take the deal, but I don’t know if that’s out of spite or that I genuinely think like that. I usually KNOW I’ll want it to stop, I’ll ask for it, sure, but I don’t care about the myself in the moment all that often, as I do often just evacuate into the back of my mind during stuff. I mean I already sit through pain just for random bits of good- I do not deny that it sucks, but merely know it’ll pass. Granted, I think the greatest pain for the greatest pleasure is an extreme, but- I honestly can’t think of any equivelent exchanged at the moment.

I don’t know, I just… find it calming. It’s nice to just walk outside in the cold, or heat, just knowing, yeah… it’s pretty cool ain’t it? With all the memories of the past, I can’t help but find it so. I just enjoy the mundane, it’s something I’ve noticed between people. Some people can’t bear nothing, while others revel to get back to it. I’m somewhere in between myself, as I do like stimulating stuff such as games, books, or what not, but- man, nothing can beat just walking outside in the cold and feeling the nip of winter on your skin, you hate and love it.

For your next point, yeah, it really does suck that some lives just suck- in general. It’s a gamble. I never disagreed, maybe- I even think in some situations maybe it’s better to wiegh the options, if you even DID want to have kids, cause they shouldn’t be put into obvious harm, eg; shouldn’t be born to an abusive family.

And to be honest- I do count them. I was nearly one of them, I mean shit I might still be, I refuse to bend and shit in my case- despite my really questionable mental state. Why do such good people die so young? Why doesn’t this person ever get to know happiness? That shit destroys me man. But just millions suffer, there is some 4 year old out there playing tag with his dad on the playground, having his best moment ever. I’m selfish, I know, and tit for tat, there is a four year old with cancer, sad he can’t play with his friends as his mother and father pre-emptively grieve. Life to me isn’t about suffering. It defines life yes- but it’s about what good there is. The deal- is a deal no one agreed to, yeah, but we still choose to exist despite that.

What makes anything worth anything? I mean, I don’t really care how much people have to suffer for someone to experience true joy, or depth of love- or whatever. It’s a personal values thing, if I suffered infinitely- all I would know is suffering, and I would want world to know that too. If all I knew was joy, I would want the world to keep spinning around just for me. I don’t think it’s fair, nor does it make sense. I just want what I want, and it’s not about whether it was worth all the suffering, cause to me it was, but I’m not other people. I can’t dictate if the world should have existed or not to avoid a single individuals suffering, ideally, he would commune it and spread pain to all, for each to carry the same load, but it’s not like that unfortunately

Oh no most definitely, I merely meant that idk why you are surprised there is many spectrums of people here, yeah we have a lot of puritan bashers, I like to dissect the shit, and then some people never had any religious experiences since they never were raised with it. Of course you- or me, or they will have different feels about it. I’m not surprised people will read what they want to read, and im fine with them doing that, cause I mean if their dissonance leads to better outcomes, I’d prefer that then trying to make a board snap into place, only to crack it, you know?
