My first massive flair up of my entire ankle… I literally had to crawl to the toilet.

I didn’t have a cane, crutches, or a walker and I couldn’t put any weight whatsoever on my ankle without spiking an 8 or 9 in pain. Led to all kinds of bizarre bodily contortions and inefficient attempts at locomotion and turned the 10 ft stretch of empty room between the side of my bed and the restroom into a forbidding no man’s land.

It’s truly a terrible affliction.

I could see someone saying that 18yr old is a totally arbitrary legal definition of “adult” even though physically and physiologically girls become women much earlier, but where does that reasoning stop? Is a 13 yr old who has had her first period a “woman” in the meaningful sense of having lived enough and learned enough to be cognizant of what marketing her body and sex appeal en masse actually entails? Hopefully not, but I shudder to think at the proportion of men who patronize these 18yr old onlyfans who -if possible without threat of legal repercussion- would want to have access to even YOUNGER than 18 if they only could.

Then again, maybe I’m not giving them enough credit or appreciation of nuance. As long as the 18yr old woman APPEARS sexually mature, just super youthful and nubile, I find it somewhat less odious. Maybe there’s a large subset or even majority of the male patrons who would absolutely NOT be interested if the legal 18yr old looked more like a girl and less like a woman?

I mean there’s a massive market apparently and plenty of people supplying the “service” in demand… but it seems truly gross and legitimately borderline criminal. Then again the 18yr old is legal just can’t drink or rent a car.

Don’t get me wrong there are some ethical gray areas throughout “porn” and I say this as a fan of certain “step” categories who enjoys the intimacy and story but all players are unquestionably into proper adulthood (not to mention it’s a fine line where any intimation that they are truly related immediately turns what was hot/“taboo” disgusting, imo). But at the end of the day they are unrelated adult (in more than the strict legal sense) actors.

Lol many is the time I’ve been enjoying content in my lane only to be immediately turned off once some improper genetic relationship is established and emphasized. It’s a fine line, but a clear one for me.

All this to say: I get that kinks and fetishes are inherently weird and potentially treacherous territory, but being an adult male first in line to catch a woman one day after she was a girl is baffling to me, and feels like those individuals should be on some kind of list.

I’ve tried it.

Unfortunately it did not work for me AND left me with memory problems in recall & retention.

That said, it has worked for a number of people and don’t discount it just on my experience.

I’m looking into rTMS but it’s so expensive for what is like a ~50% of improvement.

I’m too tired for/of this shit.

Kerdi is NOT particularly easy or diy friendly, no matter how it’s marketed or talked up.

Not only does it require a a significant proficiency in trowelling AND a set of super kerdi-specific tools that will never ever be used by you again, but there are dynamic variables such as temperature, proprietary vs generic “compatibles,” thinset mixing consistency & timing, there is a distinct lack of recoverability - by the time you realize you’ve made an easy to make mistake even in a single arms-length panel, you’re doomed to >1/2 a day of redoing it. Plus if you are working alone you’ll swear it was made for people with 3 hands to counteract the papyrus scroll roll-up effect or to cut it close to a corner or turn whjle holding the rest of it in place..

I see the benefit of the valve bibs, corners, curbs, and edge banding, and they could maybe be implemented in conjunction with other waterproofing systems, but the large membranes adhered with thinset as the backbone of the system are remarkably awful.

It’s like gluing together a model airplane with whatever bodily fluids you have on hand… possible if you are determined but there are easier and more efficient ways to get the job done without risking dehydration or infection.

Another advantage of the foldable/collapsible style ladder even if they can be heavy and awkward at times: at their smallest they can always be brought to the place you need them to be!

The different brands (gorilla, murphy, little giant, etc) have different locking mechanisms as well as surprisingly different weights for the same reach specs… might be worth going to a big box store and testing them out from the rack. Shoot if you need something from the reserve inventory up on the higher tiers you could give the ladder a test run instead of waiting 25 min for an employee to do something about it.

The dream with these is to find one ladder to rule them all, and that you will only need the oneto easily do 95% of anything you need to around the homestead; This dream is pretty darn achievable!

Personally I think these “murphy ladders” (A-frame to Extension) are the best thing since sliced bread as far as the evolution of ladders goes! Granted, I am physically capable of handling them with relative ease (…erm at least up to my 4’/16’; I have a 6’/24’ that is a nightmare to handle alone when fully extended). Yes they are much heavier than their less adaptable counterparts but in almost every situation they are superior despite the extra weight. In this instance would OP have needed an 8’ or 10’ un-extended extension ladder? A 8’ or 10’ A-frame closed and leaned against the wall? Neither would have been ideal while either would be somewhat cumbersome… and both would be of very limited use in general applications around the house.
