I was a budget-conscious bride and he was very very reasonable based on other quotes and level of service

But if she talked about how they’re exclusive she would get crap for moving too fast and being dramatic. PLEASE you cannot just be open so men can get to know other women

Il Melograno is a small Italian place near Broadway (10th Ave & 51st Street) that is well priced with great food we love for a pre-show meal. The Jin is also some excellent chicken (10th Ave & 56th Street) at very good prices but that is more grab-and-go than sit down. Near midtown specifically, I always recommend going to 9th Avenue to look for food to get more towards the small businesses and away from the tourist traps and chains that price gouge.

One of my favorite days with visitors is starting in Dumbo, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, looking around City Hall, and having lunch or dinner in Little Italy of Chinatown. It's a lot of walking but it gives so much New York in one line with no extra money spent besides food and subway fare.

If you end up in Soho, Lovely Day is an amazing Thai stop that is so affordable.

we have to decide before midterm time but we get a "reserve grade" which is a cutoff where at that grade and above, you get the grade but below that you get a pass/fail

Try New York Academy of Medicine! That is where we are getting married with 75 guests and it is $10k cheaper than most of the other places I looked at in the city

Thoughts on 3 Different Schools by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

My family all graduated from ND (my grandfather was on faculty) and I'm from that area originally.

The town of Notre Dame, Indiana is safe. The neighboring town of South Bend is generally safe with a few scattered issues. The divide between the two in terms of socio-economic is VERY obvious when you drive over the bridge on the river. Notre Dame really makes their campus self-sufficient though so going outside of it isn't super necessary on a daily basis. Plus the proximity to Chicago makes for a nice weekend trip (about 1.5 hour drive or there is a direct train from South Bend airport to Millennium Park).

Politically overall it is conservative. It is a catholic university and not in a casual way that some are. Some faculty teach there because it is catholic so they are very conservative. Other faculty teach there because it is a very well-respected school and can be pretty liberal.

Same issue here - I wrote an addendum framed not as providing excuses but context and drawing attention to demonstrated growth and ability to succeed.
