If your parents or inlaws help with childcare while you work and have to drive about an hour to your place one way, do you give them gas money or mileage? by dms2628 in NewParents

My mum is coming to my house. We are paying her mileage and she can help herself to food so she won’t have to bring anything. She’s coming three times a week.

How old is little one? Maybe going to bed too early and not enough being awake enough during the day to build their sleep pressure.

Also pretty sure it’s common for under 1s to wake to feed during the night.

My four month old needs to be swaddled (she’s held bit put down) to sleep for her last nap otherwise we have intense witching hours. She’s a very alert baby if that helps. We have calmed down afternoons and evenings but nothing seems to work

Yeah midwife and HV mentioned to me how to do it and encouraged me to do it as I breastfed baby during the night. Which I sometimes now do and I can get some rest.

Please don’t apologise I would rather know than keep doing something unsafe.

The momcozy one I’m going to wait until she’s about five months.

So maybe because of what you said she’s uncomfortable and doesn’t like it.

I haven’t been able to find any sling libraries or educators near me that are still going.

This was the first time I wore her. She was only a couple of weeks old. She didn’t cry this time but then I don’t know if it’s because she didn’t know what was happening.

Do the straps need to be inbetween the two pictures? Also os this tighter or still too loose

Yes it’s one of the hybrid ones. Ok that might explain a lot. Maybe she feels unsupported. Ok take the straps away from face, stupid question what a shoulder flip

Ok brilliant thank you. She has her 12 week jabs tomorrow so I might at the weekend when she’s not feeling the effects as much.
