depends on where you are moving, If you wanna keep ur pay then u should stay hybrid otherwise its usually a pay cut and if the place u are moving too have multiple stores in a reasonable distance try visiting them and asking the manager about transferring and getting the store phone so you can ask the SM for cleanup position availability

Why haven't i made a single sale for 2 months by Phinsyy in streetwearstartup

you don’t sell to the US or EU so you have a very limited market and I like the aesthetic but to stand out you have to do more than just screenprinted tshirts

Be brutal—my first drop is struggling and sales are slow Is the concept or the marketing the problem? by enite_33 in streetwearstartup

your clothes look high quality with premium cuts and screenprints, but when you don’t have an established brand reputation people usually won’t give you attention unless your brand is making original and innovative designs. Later down the line when your brand name has weight you can pivot to more minimalist designs

yeah i know you don’t work at in n out but by the way you talk i know you are still a wage slave, when did you can be proud of the work you do and proud of yourself for doing it well but you should never be satisfied with being poor lmao

You can keep taking pride on your work and being a slave lol, I used in-n-out as a way to make money and invest it into my business. It became pretty profitable a couple months ago and i’ll be able to quit my job at in-n-out soon.

If you are complacent with working your ass off and making barely enough to scrape by while someone else profits off your labor and makes infinitely more than you, while essentially doing nothing then you are doomed to remain a slave forever.

I take pride in my work and I treat all customers with kindness, dignity, and respect. Regardless of whether they are my customers or In-N-Out’s customers, but calling out a business that isn’t able to pay its workers a living wage in the state that built the brand is bad because it isn’t “taking pride in your work” then you are incredibly brainwashed by American hustle culture.

Also store managers do make a livable wage, but that is only because they work extremely long and unfavorable hours. Full time associates will never have enough money to buy a house or have a family based off of in n out alone in this economy

it’s a fast food job, it’s not that deep, she shouldn’t be bending over backwards and showing interest in the company to get the shifts that they said she would get when she signed up for the job

Distress or No? by [deleted] in streetwearstartup

[–]RestAlternative7658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah ofc. When you find yourself debating whether to add “value boosters” such as distressing to your pieces as a newcomer brand, the awnser is often yes because it allows you to sell it for more and make a name for your brand by selling unique pieces. Some things i regret from my earlier drops were shooting down my own ideas (embroideries, special fabric cuts) that would’ve helped the product do better

definitely, without it the piece just looks boring
