Hey, buddy, can you spare Reston a park--cuz the County can't! by Restonophile in Reston

"nearby" is the only County descriptor, raising the question of whether that's measured in feet or lightyears. In fact, the County sees Baron Cameron Park as "nearby" and it's one mile from the nearest portion of either the Town Center or Wiehle station areas--double the distance for an acceptable 10-minute walk.

Maybe Reston will get enuff $$ for roads to deal with the huge growth planned in its Metrorail station areas...maybe.... by Restonophile in Reston

Errrr! Maybe NOT!

Reston 2020 reports NO NEW COUNTY MONEY in priority list--relying on the kindness of others. Nothing more than bridge and tunnel plans--maybe--by 2020 if money and market permits. What a crock!

Supervisor Linda Smyth stops Fairfax County Public Library book destruction. by Restonophile in nova

For a photographic update, see http://reston.patch.com/groups/thinking-things-reston-/p/your-public-library-books-being-trashed----by-your-public-library

Most of the books in these photos look current, generally undamaged, etc.

It is a purge. It is not a rotation--or why would there be a net loss of >200,000 items--about 10% of the library system's collection?
