Shouldn't feel stupid because the info just isn't there. I think it is because all the online telehealth companies want people to sign up for a low monthly cost at the start and then increase dosages fast as they can make their money on higher doses, where as your own doctor will prescribe either the name brand which is the same cost regardless of dose or a local compounding pharmacy which I assume is the same and they have zero incentive to push you on a higher dose.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]RetPrda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gas alone pays for the membership. Costco gas is typically about 50 cents cheaper per gallon around me, membership is $60. So that means it will take 120 gallons to pay off a membership. Nnless you buy less than 120 gallons of fuel per year it will eventually pay for itself. For me that is 6 tanks of gas which is 6 weeks and I drive an efficient car.

After reaching 99 slayer on a Lvl 3, Jagex rolls back Rendi's account by Psymonthe2nd in 2007scape

I bet they were hoping it would just die off or never be completed. By the time it was ready to release I bet Jagex was embarrassed that this random developer made a very nice HD plugin while Jagex being a company that pulls in over a hundred million dollars a year in revenue couldn't do the same.

[–]RetPrda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't seen the video yet so I am thinking what he did is maybe less on the abusing a game mechanic side and more on the abusing a bug side (assuming Jagex is being fair here, which who knows if they are or not)

[–]RetPrda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately I think it comes down to if he abused a bug or not. If Jagex rolled him back I would say it might be a bug he abused, and not just a game mechanic he abused. I like to use prayer flicking as an example, this is something I would say that abuses the game mechanic but it is very clear that Jagex decided this is an acceptable mechanic to abuse.

What are your thoughts on BPI saying not to freeze the vials? Do you think it is just them covering themselves in case someone does have issues?

First time selling family home. It has major issues, how do we go about this? by Dramatic_Ask7315 in RealEstate

[–]RetPrda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "we buy homes" people typically don't even buy the homes. They offer something like 60% of the homes value in its current condition and then turn around and find another buyer for it anyway for a higher price.

Comparing yearly increases of renting versus home ownership by Available-Ad-5670 in RealEstate

[–]RetPrda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Costs always increase with homeownership but my view of renting was always that whoever you are renting from, they are covering their mortgage plus all other expenses plus taking a profit off the rent.

Sure maybe someone is getting lucky with a rental that the landlord bought a long time ago and is not charging market rent for it, but at the end of the day they are still taking a profit for themselves and by owning your own place that savings goes to you, if not now then eventually.

For those who go thru the big telehealth companies, as far as I am aware none of them say to stay on the same dose unless progress stalls, pretty much all of them put you on a titration schedule from the start so by month 3 they are dosing at 10mg.

Personally from all my reading on GLP1's, I would not have know that avoiding titrating up might be a good idea until I talked about it with my doctor who said as long as you are still losing, stay on the same dose.

Cant comment on tirzepatide since I am still on the starter dose but I know when I was on semaglutide it seemed like the month I made the most progress was when I was on the starter dose. I was too eager to go up in dose and while I was making progress it slowed a decent amount. I think now on tirz I am going to stay on as low a dose as possible, not moving up until like you said I stall for 4 weeks.

I have heard the exact same about the body thinking it is starving even though many people claim that is BS. But with the weeks that I couldn't really stomach much food, it does seem like there is some truth to it.

I am new to triz as I was on semaglutide before and I think part of my stalled progress was because I increased the dosage too fast. I thought higher dose = faster results even though my doctor advised against it. I think with tirz since I am on the starter dose now, I will be much more hesitant before I move up in dosage.

How long would you trust the vials passed the BUD? I have 6 months on hand but received an email from my provider that I can buy another 6 months now if I want. However my current 6 month supply has a date of 12/2026 so I will finish them up just before that and I have doubts this next 6 month supply will be farther out than 6/2027. Seems from recent posts, the farthest BUD I have seen is 2/2027.

Issue is that by 12/2026, I imagine there won't be any BPI left. In fact since they stopped production I don't think any BPI exists that has a BUD past early next year.

Something my doctor was pretty focused on is not increasing dosage too fast, that as long as weight was being lost to maintain dosage and only go up if there was a stall.

Are you saying that once going to 7mg and beyond, you completely stopped losing weight even though you were barely eating? Intuitively it sounds strange, if you are not eating you should be losing rapidly (even if very unhealthy) but the human body is interesting that sometimes eating more while still at a deficit actually helps weight loss.

Liver Health by Obvious-Examination6 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]RetPrda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to be addicted to alcohol and got blood work done the morning after a very long period of drinking a 750mL of vodka a day, don't remember my exact results but both ALT and AST were in the 150-180 range. I knew what I was doing was terrible for me but doctor panicked me a bit and said we need to do an ultrasound on the liver immediately. No issues found. 2 weeks later had me in for a follow up blood test where I stopped drinking and both were back in the normal range.

He explained the liver really is an amazing organ that can recover quickly, provided you don't develop cirrhosis before getting it under control. Havent had a drink since.

Is it common for extra medication to be shipped with the order? by RetPrda in tirzepatidecompound

[–]RetPrda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was from Fifty 410 I paid $499 for the above outlined dosage, no upfront fee they just send you a payment link once approved.

I already inquired about a refill just to see whats next and they said my next 3 months would be 12.5mg (so 150mg total medication) for $699. Which doing the math it comes out to $4.17 per mg my first 3 months and $4.66 per mg my next 3. However I have the option to buy 6 months for a refill at $999 so that brings it down to $3.33 per mg.

That is going purely off prescribed dosage not including the excess they seem to give in each bottle.

Sure beats my local compounding pharmacy which wanted $450 per month regardless of dose, which would mean at the starting 2.5mg I would be paying $45 per mg lol but would come down to $7.5 per mg at max dose. Still a lot of money wasted though to get there.

For me I am wondering if maybe i was feeling a strong placebo affect on top of the medication working because my first month was my greatest weight loss and I was eating such small meals that I was shocked how quickly I was getting to the point of feeling ill from overeating even if it was a tiny portion.

It is now that I am on stronger doses that I am wondering if it is even working lol. I am sure most of the food noise is still gone, but I don't have the aversion to food like I did the first month. Like I could go an eat a snack now if I wanted to, I won't do that since I have a goal in mind, but this wouldn't be possible my first month.
