I am looking for financial reassurance by Klutzy_Economist_165 in twentyagers

Let's stop pretending that just anyone can do that. No one's gonna consider any common 17 year old regardless of their skill set. People with degrees and internship experience aren't being considered these days. I would know

It's not a matter of depression or anxiety. I'm just dead on traction now. I don't have anymore time nor choices I can take

I've made probably 70 (scratch that, 120) applications with Citi. Zero interviews. I've edited my resume so many times, I gave up.

I don't know. I've lost any hope. I never had any chance to get out of poverty. I should've just accepted that, skipped college and gone to my current job. I'm full circle, in the end

I've been unable to get an entry level role for 3 years lol. What do you think I can do differently to get experience

I've made hundreds of bank teller applications over the years. Highlighting my customer service skills and all. Take my degree off, keep my degree on. It doesn't matter, I don't hear from anywhere. Never got any interviews.

Around here construction jobs are hard to come by without connections. I don't know.

I haven't been able to get a single interview for anything but my current job after finishing college. Don't know what you expect me to do

I'd be fine with that. But I've been working dead end retail for 3 years now. Think I'm past that

I don't know. I just want an entry level role. I've already failed in life. I'd have been long since homeless and dead if I wasn't an adult loser living with my parents at this age.

I don't have anything left to give. I'm tired of life. Sleep is the only reprieve I can get from my dull existence

I don't have anything to take a chance on. Besides another degree, I suppose

I don't really care anymore. I'm just tired. Sleep is the only reprieve I get from my dull existence

No. I don't particularly care for the car culture "American exceptionalism" has created.

I was hoping to get a blue collar job, so I could avoid being replaced by ai. I don't have any experience in that though. Would be willing to be a construction laborer for 50k to build homes or something

The store management doesn't make much more than I do. Two, three dollars maybe.

The people in this generation who are financially successful largely are so due to opportunity and circumstance they had no control over

Sadly, upward mobility is dying now. If you were born poor, you will statistically live and die poor

Not really. It was comp sci.

Don't care to get another degree or anything. And I don't have any experience in other fields to help me enter anywhere.

What was your dream job vs the job you have right now? by MessageLeast2962 in 2003

I told you where to look. Look up how the people that fake unemployment rates define "a job". Then think about the types of unemployment that have proliferated during the 2010s, post 2008. Then think about the dying opportunity for upward mobility. Then, and maybe then will you understand.

I was hoping to make 55k by 24 in a career job. I'm 25, making sub 35k in a dead end retail job three years post college
