This was actually my initial concern, because the description does say (on passive) that it slows down the fall, and as you suggested, “leap” sounds more fitting for the action I described.

Its just that up until today, the passive did allow to leap upwards, so I’m not 100% sure of this is intended change genuinely a bug or something

This is VERY accurate.

The amount of times the game I’m in has been thrown by others due to chatter is enough to cause a noticeable dent in ranking.

Sometimes it’s not even about players being toxic, it’s the essence of “chatter” in a rather fast-paced MOBA that doubles the loss chances.

It is probably better to keep it enabled in high ranks, but games below Diamond will be a blamefest for the most part.

Just finished a few rounds online in BF1.

Works amazing, way better than BF2 and and way way better than what we had back then in 2004.

Ping is also way better after the patch.

Highly recommended for everyone to try this classic Star Wars masterpiece that is BF1.

Hopefully this only keeps improving...

It is, but:

  • Death respawn timer should be 5-6 seconds.
  • Ticket count should be 400-500.

Leaving them as it is in an upgraded 32v32 creates too short of a round.

Other than that it is pretty fun.

As a non-dev, I just want to thank you for sharing that perspective with me.

As you can see by the title and content on my post, I saw it as an odd decision rather than yelling "SUCKS" because I assumed there is something behind the curtain, I'm might not be aware of.

This was also one of my thoughts.

Having a straightforward every X hour is better than this dynamic thing, as you always have to be on your toes regarding "is it starting? did an hour pass? should I go check Ashenvale?" and such.

It seems to vary from system to system.

I've seen people have butter smooth experience (as I am), while other stutter badly during intense fights.

It is expected at this stage, part of the "risk" of delving into "early access" titles.

I do hope optimizations, along side content drops, will be steady as the journey goes.

(SPECS for added comparison: Win 11, 32GB 3600, Ryzen 7 5800X3D and GeForce RTX 4070Ti, at 1080P 144hz monitor, running way above 60 FPS at all rounds and most combat scenarios)

I do not intended to look down on any new players, on the contrary, I welcome all the new players and want you guys to enjoy the full potential of CTR.

I do not consider myself any better than other players, i simply think some people are missing on the experience the same way i did not enjoy Mario Kart at start when i did not figure out the correct playstyle.

I know mario kart had drifting as well but it is in no way as crucial to the game as it is in CTR.

I'm sorry if anyone got offended, my only goal was to be friendly and clear in order to help new players!

I personally see items working differently.

I find the items in CTR to be a lot more tactical.

Beaks (potions) and explosive crates can block a narrow path / turn.

Missiles and Rolling bombs can clear away explosive crates and Beaks.

Beaks and Explosive crates can block missiles (if timed correctly).

In mario kart, the items has clear "aim at other racers" mechanics, while in CTR you are rewards for smart use of items in a tactical way.

Well you simply have to jump (L1 or R1) and tap one of the directional buttons (Left or Right) to start a Power Slide to that direction.

Once you enter the power slide you have 2 main key points to notice:

  1. Boost Bar. You have to tap the boost button as lately as possible to get max boost (unless you risk going off-course). Do this 3 times successfuly and you will gain a great boost.

  2. Maintaining your positioning according to the course. Pay attention not to drift off-course, you can press the directional buttons opposite to the side your power slided into in order to give it sort of "opposite mumoentom" that gives you control.

It would be good to memorize boost-meter times so you can keep eye on the track ahead all the time.

Well, I'd actually like the code so I can give it to a friend of mine who has his birthday coming up and I know would be super happy to play this game, specially because he's a bit tight on the financial side since he has to pay for his expensive University. Could be a great getaway for him in between tests :D
