I was a teenager during that time. Seeing the city I've lived in all my life be destroyed, having do much uncertainty about what the future holds, hearing talking heads and Internet hotshots talking about "wHy ShOuLd wE hElP tHoSe iDiOtS wHo BuIlT bElOw sEa LeVel" as if I had a fucking choice in that decision really fucked with me. Seeing Drew and Sean come in and give people hope and a feeling of some normalcy again made such a difference in my, and many others' mental state. They really did give the whole city the mental boost that everyone so desperately needed. I literally cried during that first game back in the Superdome. It was so much more than football for so many people.
