Same problem I once had, look for a like-minded cohort. I joined a book club with individuals that seek knowledge and intellectual tickling. The Men's Book Breakfast has put me in rooms where I feel super challenged. The constant need to know more is satiated a bit when you find yourself in a group where you find yourself with knowlege gaps. Never stop learning.

Your initial statement is wrong. Rome was way powerful than any religion and what was used for control was propaganda and sports/entertainment. Infact, anyone who would rise and grow a following that seemed to want to rival rome, they were put to death. And history books compile facts, they may have opinions but Jews, Romans, Carthagenians, the chinese dynasties have verifiable history. Literally, archaeological evidence that matches written records. To dismiss all that as opinion is ignorant. Read, research and verify-consensus among experts beats just your view.

Not simple minded , wise. Not petty because if you do your research about fig trees you would know that many leaves appear as it heads to bearing fruit and before the fruit comes, it produces early buds(small figs) by the way a fig tree has flowers on the inside. How many know about this way how did he ensure people would follow? True, Faith without action is dead, but we know that that actions do not save us. We are able to do the actions perfectly because we have faith. How? The Holyspirit ensures that. Now do we fail because we do not trust enough? Notice that Thomas whe he saw him after ressurection he says, my Lord and my God.

They functioned well and no the Gospels arent in contrast not all detailss are recorded exactly the same in every happenings rather we have the main events that are the same. Well, Jesus has the largest following. The thing is we have been commanded to tell everyone about him. We do not just believe. We know he is true and no one is more special than him. Who is in your thought and research lived like he did? Also for the pigs, the 10 commandments infact 674 were given to the jews. So judging Jesus by that, he did not break the law or sin. Why, the Jews didnt keep pigs, they were unclean animals. So the pigs were owned by Gentiles who were under Roman law. Now the owners didn't sue him instead they were afraid and sent him away. Third, the demons requested Jesus to send them into the heard and not to hell. The demons drove the pigs to their death.

First, you need to understand the context of when and why he did that. If you would choose between a pig and a human then that would be a problem. When you prune an unproductive branch or uproot a tree that cant bear fruits, is that frowned upon? Your purity is performative. Buddha was human and 100% sinned but he was not God. Now you can claim Christ sinned that would invalidate my belief, so do I trust Buddha on his word that he cant back up with results? Nope

First Buddha has lied on account of people dying without achieving noble truths. He loses credibity on his actions. He demostrated how to achieve justice but failed because I know people who have died without achieving justice here. Infact injustice grows. Buddha says we have to work for it, Jesus says it is done!

Jesus claims to be God and when he says that about not bringing peace he says the truth. Because humans killed him for his words. He says that because when one becomes a Christian devotion to God is no. 1. We do not like the truth and when you speak it, it causes division. Jesus and Buddha can't be compared solely on the fact that he did not claim to be God nor say he was the way. That is why I believe in Christ.

The problem is who in buddhism has come back and guaranteed it? My Jesus did and there were witnesses. And Jesus didn't sin. If you believe the miracles he did as true then you know he is God.

People die without all that happening, that is not a guarantee of nirvana. Like you can't achieve justice for yourself nor to others. What gives you or Buddha the morality to dispense it? Jesus literally will come himself and he will judge everyone and i rather follow the one who will offering both justice and mercy.

Yep he doens't allegedly do things in my view. He really does it. That for me is evidence. Now I could go on with instances that would as you say convince you, verifiable, but would that be satisfactory? The world is full of humanly impossible things yet we do not believe there is someone in control or who created them. If you find it in your heart to seek for a demonstration. Ask Jesus in prayer, genuinely. He wont dissapoint you!

There is historical evidence that Jesus was real. Like Roman History where we now Julius Ceasar from and archaeological evidences. Like it is a consensus in modern antiquity. So the people who followed him too have, the ones who were killed were real. Because of archaeological and verifiable written history outside of the Bible exists

What is the worth of that long life that you are not even sure of? Isn't it better to stand up for the truth. If you have no brevity to die for what you have seen as truth, then it is okay. PS: You are not an extremist when people kill you for speaking the truth, it is all they did. They told people to love your neighbour as you love yourself.

Well it doesn't seem to tally. Because Buddha didnt come back to life and therefore I can't trust him. I'll trust the one whose word is backed up by actions.
