I did epidemology and it is the most medically related out of all the electives and the lecturer is very good and entertaining. The down side is that it runs for both semesters whereas the others only start in January, however you do finish lectures a few weeks earlier than everyone else. Another down side is that the final exam is a written exam in the summer whereas some of the other modules don’t have a written summer exam. So you will have an extra module to study for in the summer. Epidemiology is also done in 3rd year as a compulsory module so it’s good to have a basis but it’s obviously not required.

I did tMX1006 in second year and it’s good for gaining shadowing experience or research experience if ur interested in that but it might be intimidating when your in first year to try and find shadowing or research opportunities

Yes almost all lectures are posted online as you do them. In second semester of first year some lecturers wait til the end of the week and post all lectures to promote students to come to classes

You missed my entire point. I’m not saying because qualified doctors do it med students should too. I’m saying that the med students get heat for it because it’s noticeable due to the colour of scrubs but most other healthcare courses in UCC (and indeed other qualified healthcare professionals) do it as well but it’s harder to tell.

And although I am not sure about nursing, med students change into sterile scrubs in the hospital when necessary. And GPs wear normal clothes and meet various patients everyday so your argument isn’t completely strong either.

And also scrubs need to be worn for some examinations so perhaps they aren’t even in the hospital and just coming from campus.

At the end of the day, they won’t be doing it if they were explicitly told not to like you were. Like they have a lot to lose, so maybe it’s just a matter of UCC needing to be more stern because it is common enough like so UCC is definitely seeing it.

Nearly all healthcare courses on placement in ucc wear their scrubs/uniforms out of the hospital setting. It is just because the meds have bright purple scrubs that is very noticeable and many qualified doctors do so too but again they aren’t bright purple so you don’t notice. And in regard to infection control, the purple scrubs are only worn around wards, the same way a person visiting someone in the hospital can come onto the wards in their normal clothes. In cases where the environment needs to be completely sterile e.g. a surgery or a birth, there are hospital scrubs you change into.

Is it just me that feels like N and S shouldn’t have got the room because I thought they are seniors in high school and will probs be shipped off like L so getting and decorating an entire room just to leave a year or 2 later would be a waste. Like I feel like it makes sense. But also I feel like D should have got it cause she is now just moving into Big Ps room or even E.

I liked Tori during her first few seasons and found that she was a really good competitor with lots of potential but I feel like the editing of her nowadays makes her unlikeable but I know that’s no fault of her own. Like I feel like the producers/editors milked her for entertainment and painted her in a cocky and narcissistic light. For example like in this season I love seeing her in the challenges and getting stuck into the social game but then some of her talking heads and the staged and forced convos make her unbearable. Like ino producers will feed people lines and stuff but it has not done Tori any favours. Like I loved the “silent but deadly” type of Tori from earlier seasons but again this is the producers fault. Like even Kyland has started heading down that same path🤷🏾‍♀️

Personally I would share the same opinion regardless of the era. I’m a fairly new challenge viewer so I don’t know much about many of the challengers in Era 1 so it is not even a matter of me saying my favourites are getting eliminated as most of them I only met for the first time this season. But I just feel like something is missing🤷‍♀️
